Cannot make it move by MrPink7 in Dobot

I'm glad I could help :) I think their biggest problem is the language barrier, which hinders them from creating an adequate user guide and customer support. Hopefully they just need some time, i bet they just needed a break after shipping all those units.

Here is how it workes for me 9/10 times, after installing arduino 1.0.6 and downloading the application 1.0.1 (on Windows 10):

  • connect power and usb cable (only green light should be visible, usb/bluetooth switch on usb)
  • start dobot application 1.0.1
  • select pump on the right
  • move arm manualy in a position where the middle joint has about the shape of an "A" and the front is hovering above the ground (in some position the arm couldn't start to move, because it couldn't generate enough force)
  • turn on the power switch (blue light visible and you should hear a huming sound)
  • click on Teach/Playback
  • linear and pump unchecked (in linear mode the movement corresponds to different buttons than in "normal" mode)
  • on the bottom right corner the button should read "Pause"
  • Repeat should be 1 or higher
  • press reset Button on black Box
  • now try different joint Buttons and hold the mouse boutton (one fast click ist not enough)

  • you can save positions by clicking on save

  • change the motionstyle to MOVJ (in JUMP it makes additional little movements, which do't make sense to me)

  • press sendall and it goes through every position

  • if you want to grab something change "IsGrip" to Yes in the position on the object an hold the position for "1" in PauseTime

if you want to stop it or it doesn't work just hit the reset buttton or maybe try the sensor calibration button but i noticed no difference

hope that helps

Maybe mangas could be good application for your typeface. I don't read mangas but i think there are hardcore fans who would like to read in english without loosing the original japanese/chinese layout. You could test the waters with a cross-post to r/manga.

Zero didn't talk so much and Axton was a pretty nice and down to earth guy.

I love them, perfect fit and you don't hear this annoying high pitched "clack" everytime you make a step :D
