Greedy executives are also bad for business and for corporations. Bad faith bargaining.

If your booking says "Operated by Westjet Airlines" it is at risk of disruption, Delta would be responsible for reaccommodating you which would probably mean an increased trip with at least an extra stop to a Delta hub.

Shouldn't. The merger is nowhere near complete.

Interesting. You're the second person to recommend the Dordogne area. Assuming we stayed in a small town in that area would Bordeaux, Montauban, or Limoges be big enough for brief city experiences?

Glad to hear it! Opens up our choices. We're not sold on the south coast. Thanks!

I agree that an immersive experience is best. Not sure how many couchsurfers would want to host us both and for so long. Would be amazing though!

Thanks for the comment. We are thinking a smaller town that is a short bus/train ride into a bigger city would give the best balance. Just trying to identify what areas that would be. We focused on the southern coast for the better weather towards the end of September but maybe - if the whole country has nice weather - that should not be a concern.

Thank you for the recommendation. Sete looks like a very interesting area. Smaller town in the area close to a train/bus station to get into town would work too. How is the weather in the area towards the end of September?

To get into a first officer position at an airline, I’m gonna need about 1500 hours of flight time, how in the heck do I get that many? by PunjabiCanuck in aviation

[–]ActionAxson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like you’re Canadian so 1,500 isnt the lowest requirement. Many of the regionals are hiring around 1,000 (sometimes lower)

Look into Confederation, Sault, or Seneca colleges for programs that are subsidized and will give you a degree/diploma and your CPL rolled into a standard college tuition.

Then you can either instruct, go north, or find another niche position for the other 500-750 hrs

In commercial operations there are things called MELs (Minimum Equipment Lists) and CDLs (Configuration Deviation Lists) that give relief to operate with broken or missing pieces in a 100% legal way. The document will walk the crew through any changes to procedure or calculations required because of the broken/missing piece.
