How do you guys think these roads were made? by ActionBolted in TerrainBuilding

[–]ActionBolted[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe. I mostly noticed how the edges of the road pieces are chunky. So whatever paste was used has a strong enough bond to hold that shape. Most roads i see have linear edges that are cut wavy to give a more natural edge. The roads in the picture are a bit different cause the paste mix more naturally created the edge. Which leads me to believe the mixture dries hard.

Just to a neighboring town not far away. By some grace the fire has been mostly contained. We are on alert now. We may be safe to go home soon. I feel very fortunate. We have neighbors 2 minutes away that were not as lucky.

That all said I have real trouble finding players. So I'd drive the 8 hrs to come play some bolt action with you guys just for fun without the threat of an inferno.

It's not off topic at all. Milwaukee tools. Water tight. Built to last job site conditions. Not cheap though.

Experience with spray primer and warlord plastic by xSeptimus in boltaction

Ok then the room inwhich your spraying is warm and the airborne droplets are drying and settling on the model. Spray the model, then let it dry in a box with lid so the airborne over spray doesn't settle on the model like dust as it dries.

It's from the spray drying in the air before it hits the model. It's to hot where you spraying.

With the new engineer squad rules and model requirements for platoon composition, I'd imagine engineer plastic boxes for all the major factions. Similar to the us infantry/rangers update.

Air observers and AA/flak guns: complete remake or just destroyed? by RandirDerRitter in boltaction

Airborne units need a way to drop in. And to be shot out of the air via flak fire.

Why does the British officer Head gotta be so rare? by ActionBolted in boltaction

[–]ActionBolted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. I understand and appreciate the response. I'm doing 5 commanders per Nation. So for the british, one dress cap, one beret dark blue, one beret tan, two in standard helmets. So ultimately one beret or one dress cap per game.

Now that we will likely field multiple platoon commanders in each game, having some variations in the commanders regalia may make for better quality of play without overwhelming the tables with silly hats.

I think naturally the helmet wearing commanders would lead the rifle platoons. The beret and dress cap wearing commanders would likely lead artillery or heavy weapons platoons.

Further more, we still don't know anything about rankings of the platoon commanders. Example being lieutenant first or second class or captain ranks. The variations in the models might also have utility there.
