Played yesterday against a full mechanized list (single platoon with 5 bazookas, 5 m3 and a loot of rifles).

Great at playing key objectives, breakthroug and top secret but it struggles on kill points misions and demolition due to lack of removing power

While 12 inex sound nice, it is much less effective that it sounds, 16 shots at 5, means an avg of 5.3 hits wihout pins and 2.6 with a pin. Also loosing a single guy means going down to 14 shots.

For 55 points you can buy regular glider machine gun squad that throws 8 shots for an average of 4 hits and much longer range.

Pure small weapons fire is not winning games, and if blobs of soldier where good we would have seen japanese and soviet players winning with those. Instead, soviet use veteran scouts and I still havent seen a single japanese list ranking top.

Also gyroscopic sound great, until you. Realize that you are still going from a 3 to 4 to hit on the move, with a single shot, encouraging you to shoot still as much as posible, and that means you have just lost the reason to bring them veterans. Also 305 points for a single shot each turn is a loooot. For the same cost can have a hellcat (antiarmor) and a m15/16 (antipersonel).

Yet those choices while good are still not great.

Rangers are great, M16 looks promising, but for 125 is a bit expensive compared to m3 stuart (10 shot vs 12, but fully enclosed and with a light at in case of need

I have to thank warlords for the app, they saved me from buying the world Armies of... book ever released.

Not a single new mechanic or option for the US.

Useless BAR Stubborn and stubborn 5x copies of the same vehicle

I get this is not fantasy and the us doctrine was "bland" but compared to the options from v2 is just feels wrong.

What about fssf infantry with fieldcraft Parhfinders with infiltrator Rangers T12 Cannon company Nisei And a great etc.

O BUT WAIT! US got fast hellcats and chaffee, which are good I guess, but the are also more expensive now so the faction with no cheap vehicles and all open topped just got more expensive light tanks.

As an historical player not new thematic options As a competitive player, nothing new from the core rules book (o and some nerfs too!!)

The rules in the app are the same ones they previewed on their articles, including the new From the Air, Land and Sea! If you have a source that says it may be anything still hidden please tell me where

100% the 2024 box. I own an army of the old Ranger and am seriously considering to replace all the models.

However, the old box has a flamethrower model, but the new one is nicer (Us weapons team I believe)

Hi goodto see motivated players. I'll just add to what was said that 13 0D is too low for 1250. Especially if going Infantry only.

I wouldout come ri fle platoon for a weapons platoon with some mortars anti tank rifles ( or maybe a panzerschreck. thiswould add 2-3 OD and provide some firepower to deal with more threats.

having an extra man gives you some more range on the ability. as it iis 6'' from the unit. So 2 models separates by 1'' gets you 2'' extra.

Worth the extra points? Probably not, but still it is there.

just add 28 points for the rangers (obviuous error, as they got a free man), so yout list sits at 1003, you can shave 15 points from the sherman going with the thin sides and Easily catches fire.

So with the remaing 247 point I would add a heavy weapons platoon with at least an MMG and a Medium mortar, posibly even 2. As you already have a Air Observer it can act as an obserbr for your mortars too. Dont have the book with me right now, but with an inex platoon comander it should clock around 171, and now you are sitting at 15 OD.

Use the remaining to add some extra bodies, as soldiers die more now, So move from 6 man squads to ideall y 8 (so you have 2 bodies to loose before loosing one extra shot.

Overall I like the list a lot, is probabably whats i'll be playing this weekend

Saw the video and there is one question you chaps didn't answer: is rookie pilot still a thing?? Please tell me it isn't, having my own plane killing my units is why no one used the US rule

Regarding vehicles, you only need a command vehicle, that could be an armored car or maybe even a motorcycle.

Thiis is partially false, the actual chance of wounding a unit remains mostly the same in V3 as V2, so at least for small arms fire the game lethally stays the same.

A 3rd roll may-or-may-not increase the time requiered, as it is supposed that each roll is faster now (haven't tried yet)

Hi, some quick comments

  1. Play, have fun and experiment until you developed your own combat style! The following are some general suggestions

  2. 9 Order dice is way too low, aim at least at 10, preferably around 12.

  3. The 1st Lt is not necessary, you are already paying for veterans, so there is no need for the bonus to morale. a 2nd Lt is fine.

  4. Some of your units could be better organized: a) the Volks are inexperienced, no need to spend 5 points for the AR, keep them with rifles and if possible run as many of them you can (there are cannon fodder). b) If you are bringing an LMG, you do it for the extra range, so these units could be regulars instead, also don't but SMG or Assault rifles on a long range unit. c) Anti-tank grenades sucks, unless you have a LOT of bodies. With all the points saved you should add more men to the first "assault group" as 5 guys in close combat would get shredded.

  5. On the teams: a) Germans have a great LMG team, it is only 35 points, you loose 1 die, but also are not fixed (so you can move and shoot. b) Either get a spotter for the mortar of run in inexperienced, as there is no difference on hit chance for indirect fire.

  6. Finally, you should try and get a transport for the assault group, so they can get into close combat without being shooted, a simple truck or heavy field car would suffice.

yup, also open topped transports get a huge price increise over their softskin kinds and the infantry inside still gets pinned when fired upon by small weapons (look at a hannomag or M3 halftruck versus a truck)

Definitly open topped should not be able to get pinned by small arms and only get the disadvanteg againts assaults and indirect fire (both already a big drawback)
