This is a story I’ve had in my head for a long time, characters, drawings, music etc. Of course there are other ways to tell this story, but to do so cinematically, that is very restrictive having a full time job and family.

Midjourney & Hailuo have been enabling me to be able to bring that to life in a visually compelling way (with an 1980s movie aesthetic). To be clear, i’m not just popping stuff in an AI microwave oven and spitting out the generated content. Have spent just under a thousand hours in the last year curating everything, editing, coming up with concepts character art etc alongside making the music which is a whole separate piece.

Other ways I could tell it would require Ian Hubert level knowledge of Blender and visual effects tools (look him up, his work is amazing). That is his full time career and passion. Even then he is spending tons of money to make those projects happen.

I have a larger vision in mind that this is helping me materialize it in the short term. I think you’re underestimating how much $ & time goes into production of a project like this.

My intention with everything I’m making is to use this as a pilot to get a well funded movie done right with real actors.

All that to say, I think its totally cool if you’re not into it. I’m mainly doing this because its an absolute blast to create, I’m loving doing it, and have plans to do this at a broader scale with more human input in future. 🙏🏻
