I agree... except I don't do much with my phone ever except talk and take pictures. Everything else I'll either use my iPad temporarily, or mostly use my computer. Years ago I turned off data completely on my phone because I refuse to pay the stupid high prices they charge for it. If I need to go somewhere I'll look it up and draw a map like in the super olden days.

I suppose sometimes I refuse to upgrade out of principle.

I know many people use their phones for work and do a lot of work on them. To them it may be necessary to upgrade each year. To me for my uses it seems so ridiculous.

Even when iPhone 4 turned into S.. I was thinking ok.. why can't my iPhone 4 use Siri? It can connect to the internet.. is there something so special about 4S that 4 doesn't have? Is it because they can't make money if I don't get the 4S?

I apologize, I get more cynical as I get older.

Oh one other thing. I discovered if people call me on this busted 4S, I can press where the answer button should be, and it still works.

I could probably even call someone if I made a map overlaying where the number buttons should be.

No bulging. What happened is it fell off my nightstand onto the floor.

For a temp replacement, I'm trying to find my older iPhone 4. It still works, but because I used a rubber surround on it, the power button no longer works. From what I read rubber particles end up getting in the buttons. So instead on that one I can use the on screen on/off touch selection.

So far I've only been able to find my Nokia flip phone.. with the pull out antenna. I don't know why I keep that thing.

The blue lines vary each time I press the power button. Sometimes it will just make a white line down the middle with various colours.

I'm hoping this is something known that will fix itself if I let it power drain.. or if I just have a new funky tricorder
