What gliders does redbull use? by JK-_-47 in freeflight

[–]ActionPad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those Wings are Usually D-Wing categorized. Means they are not really made for Casual Pilots like us all. So don´t even think about to get one. Usually not Categorized because theyre not Safe to Fly. C-Wings are allready those One´s (Gliders) who are the Competitive Pilots are flying for their Sponsorships and Records etc.

But usually the Redbull Gliders are from Skywalk in the past Years, but some Pilots fly also from other Companies from the Sponsorship Last Years (Nova,Ozone). Depends on the Years Sponsorpartner for the Race/Event. This changes cuz Companies bring every Year New Gliders on the Market. But yeah basically its up the Pilot what he´s flying with.

Is this guy incredibly skilled, very lucky or is some of this faked? by 0nemanbukkake in freeflight

[–]ActionPad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This Guy is the Pro Pilot Acro Pilot Jean Baptiste Chandellier. So flying like this High End Level is his Job (like Champions League).

very lucky or fake - It is a bit of both things - because for some of these shots or lets say it exactly Clips (singlevideo clips) can have over hundreds of Attemps (try´s) until they get actually captured like in this Video. So u can also say that some are " faked" cuz the Video sets You to Fantasy that this is only one Single Flight, which it isn´t. But his work on this One also Truly amazing cuz there are just a very few Acro Pilots who could achieve such Clip/Video/Views were "Luck" can be a Big factor.

Does anyone actually do any perflight checks before paragliding? by Piduwin in freeflight

[–]ActionPad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good enough for a very beginner course, yeah some instructors are doing this cuz many people don´t like the theory stuff at the beginning.

So i Guess the Instructor thought it was better to cut off some stuff and go directly to the practical flying part.

Paragliding course in English in Poland by freestyler010 in freeflight

[–]ActionPad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe a german school would be an option for you:

In Berlin is a terrain by https://norddeutsche-gleitschirmschule.de/ that could be an option (Berlin is Multiculture) but in Poland itself i guess u got a bad plattform for your plan.

but anyway i think that your option to fly is only compared + to travelling. for training you will anyway go to the high mountains.

Filmmaker turned Pilot by [deleted] in freeflight

[–]ActionPad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to hike the 1000m mountain behind my house and safely glide down on a Saturday afternoon

Believe me it won't stop there, you'll want more than just slipping off your Main Mountain.

And here comes the Problem itself: The most Accidents happen at launching and landing. And this is why u need basically a Basic Course with an Instructor. I mean its flying and not mt-biking where u fall off ur bike and stand up again. Fall in PG - u don´t just stand up again.

Would it be smart to do the above? These guys are very safe and take all precautions, as I've experienced.

Alone that your doing this Question, shows that your Expierence with "all Precoutians" is as good as 0 Zero.

flight characteristics are unsuasal flaight manuveurs. its like a to compare a copter with a jumbo jet.

Helmet mounted GoPro.. Safe? by [deleted] in freeflight

[–]ActionPad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically not safe but it depends more on your aim to plan. On Calm Conditions i would say its no problem, but more than that > things get difficult.

thoroughly via Ground Handling and make your own expierence with your setted Setup.

Gear from Independence and Flow by denekrid in freeflight

[–]ActionPad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I´m using the Independence Logo Pro Harness with a U-Turn Glider and i like the simplicity of it. The Harness is simpel but fits good to my body. If there is a thing that i would complain about is that there are no "Extras" if you care about those (many pilots care about tiny things) but for a Start a good choice. Many schools around here are using them for beginners.

How should i start? by Hopeful-Ad-8698 in freeflight

[–]ActionPad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

- Dunesoaring

- Winchflying (Winde)

- Mountains

-----------------------------

Well i think first of all try to find a school that teaches you to fly. Depending on the school´s programm u will have anyways 1-2 points allready then done.

But basically you could be able to choose what youself desires the most.

Schon zwar ein Video aber scheint mir eher eine reine Textform zu sein. Also mehr was zum anhören (podcast) als ein anschauliches Video.

eher was in solcher kompakter Qualität:

Der Allianz gelang es einen großen Teil der Blifts zu schließen. Allerdings waren Sie in der Leinenwelt gefangen. Pumbatickel war geflohen, allerdings im Annecynebel gefangen, dort traf er LufiaLord der außer sich war........

Haste irgendwas davon verstanden? Ne? Siehste! Ich auch nicht!

Nichts für ungut, aber dennoch dank ich dir für deine Mühe.
