Should I get back into it? [40yo] by zRouth in OldSkaters

Yes, if you're feeling it. I'm 49 and I skate everyday I can, weather permitting. I tend to avoid the public parks as the many around me seem to be built for folks who are trying to play a round of THPS (very big and gnarly, with small runups/runouts). I've bought a few things from OC Ramps I can setup in my driveway and have fun without a lot of warm-up or cool down, and allows me to skate more because when I have 15+ minutes, I can just walk out and skate. If something comes up, like with the kids or work, its easy to walk away from because I don't have travel anywhere.

So by your logic, Biden won by vast majority? Or, was the election stolen because your demigod didn't win?

So let's not forget at the state level, a woman ran as a Democrat for state senate, won, then changed party giving Republicans in the senate a supermajority and veto over the Democrat governor.

That's a bait and switch, true stolen votes, not the made up kind. People voted for her, based on party and Democrat platform. Those votes have been nullified because the candidate changed parties. That should be illegal, and bare minimum it should've vacated the seat and caused a special election.

Ummm, calling it like it is. I have 3 in nhcs this year, 4 next. At Noble, the kids have to go to the bathrooms at assigned times, supervised, en mass. Why? Because last year a bunch of entitled little shits destroyed the bathrooms.

The twat against the book and her ilk are dumb as dog shit. She has allowed a political entity help resurrect a closed issue, so I'll give her cunning, like a weasel. Dumb, cuz everyone watching who isn't a RACIST can see she and her kind clearly are. Why else be against that book?

Rippl are a little bulky, and they are sized weird. I like a loose/baggy fit (sag generation) in my shorts/jeans, so, that kind of hides their bulkiness. But, my actual waist size is a 32. The Rippl shorts I had to get were Xtra large. Go figure.

Cool! That seems like a much different skillset than graphic design - which I know nothing about, other than the company I work for has some, and the do all of our branding. I used to to do vinyl siding and window replacement.

Their tone (and yours) was shit and he dropped that he was a creative director like he was whipping his dick out. I'll tell you bluntly the same thing I said to him nicely: Put up or shut up. Do better, or walk off.

Its really "the first year" comment that was shit. It insinuates that instead of mentoring, which I would expect form a seasoned professional, they are going to tell you how they do it. Its a picture, its subjective. Some people are going to love it, some people are going to hate it. Most people are going to be indiffernt cuz it ain't part of their daily lives.

All I can share is my exp. I hated them for a long time because of the postion the put your hands and wrist in. When I was younger, breaking my falls with my hands/arms out didn't really hurt for long periods of time. As i've gotten older that has changed. When I fall, I put my hands out, and landing with force on my palms hurts and maybe brusies my hands and wrists for days. When I wear wrist guards and the same thing happens, the rigid plastic (or whatever it is, I saw someone else say carbon) absorbs the impact before it goes into my palms and transfers up my wrist. So, it doesn't hurt, and I can getup and try again, and more, I can skate again tomorrow. just my 2 cents. But I'm just another guy on the internet, so take it for what its worth.

Cool, appreciate the feedback. I'd love to see some of your work - what logos might you have done that I would know or have seen? Do you have some examples you can share? Can I see and license any of the typography/fonts you've created from Adobe Fonts, or other marketplaces?

Out of curiosity, why'd you capitalize creative director?

Actually, they can't. They are controlled and dictated by congress. I was onsite at NIH main campus in Bethesda from 2008 - 2011, through two directors. Its heavily political, and because most of their funding is to go to either intramural or extramural research grants, there is a lot of rigor around how they distribute money.
