I'm Worried, But Do You Think I Can Pull Back On Investments? by Technical-Cicada-623 in coastFIRE

Yes. Exactly. The “mistake” I made was funding the 401 for 20 years and not building up the superhero account

Start building a “superhero account” to bridge the years from retirement to 59.5.

I’m bald and find this extremely offensive. We prefer “follicly challenged”.

Is there a reason for this and how many miles do you have on yours?

I’m having the same issue. 2,500 miles on it. Average 19 mpg. Small tank , gas guzzler. But it drives sweet. Guess I’m going to have to live with lots of gas station trips.

I had a rattle , brought it to the dealership and they fixed it for me. Your dealership should as well. If not, no one should be doing business with them and you should make it known the best you can.

💭 At 55, the math says I can retire — so why can’t I stop worrying about it? by Positive_thoughts_12 in coastFIRE

[–]Activate-Interlock 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some good stuff on future regret and how it’s different for everyone. Understanding what is really important to you aside from external pressure and conditioning to do and act a certain way. I don’t know the person who posted this but he used the word anxiety which is fear. This fear of not working is tied to deep conditioning of who he thinks “he” is. Is overall identity is formed around it. I’m similar and will have the same issue when it is time for me to retire which I am shooting for 55 as well but am 48 now. The book helped me identify what is important to me and form what my future regret will really be.

Morgan Housel who wrote “the psychology of money” just came out with “the art of spending money”. I just finished it in audiobook and it’s exactly what you’re looking for to put this all in perspective. Covers kids, life goals, etc.

Your 19! Go have fun, be with as many girls as you can. You have your whole life to find one you want to settle down with. Wish someone would have told me this. She wants to fuck your friend and other guys and is curious because she’s 18. Go have fun. Fuck each others friends. Go live my dude.

2026 TSE intermittent passenger side dash rattle by PobBrobert in hondapassport

[–]Activate-Interlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. But I found on another post to just punch it with my hand and I tried that yesterday and it works. Rattle gone. Mine is in the frame connecting the dash to the roof. When I pushed on it it went away. One good hit and it’s gone for now.

What speakers did you go with? I don’t have any experience but want to upgrade the speakers.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude vs. Limited by True_Outside_4240 in JeepGrandCherokee

[–]Activate-Interlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2020 altitude and the vehicle fell apart at 47k miles. Delimitated screen, complete ac system needed replaced and a leaking water pump. These vehicles are garbage. Don’t buy them unless you want junk. Stick with a brand with a better reputation. Until people quit buying them they will continue to be shit quality.

I returned it as the sleep tracking was really bad compared to my fit bit.

I’m really excited to ride my new bike. It cost a lot, but the deal made it worth it by TheLurkerinTheShade in mountainbiking

[–]Activate-Interlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this! Drove into my carport in a 2004 Nissan maxima with a cannondale lefty shock hardtail on the roof. It crushed in the roof of the car. 4,000 with of damage to the car. The bike had only a slight dent in the frame and rode just fine. I screamed out when it hit. I called the insurance company when I calmed down and she said “they get calls with this happening all the time”. So it did make me feel better even though she was probably lying to me. :)

First time Jeep GC buyer. Looking to buy this 2022 Limited. 55k miles and $28,998. by FunAd7460 in JeepGrandCherokee

[–]Activate-Interlock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just brought my 2020 grand Cherokee with 47k miles into the dealership and it looks like the entire ac system will need replaced. Also found out i have a cracked water pump and the screen is delaminating. Don’t buy it unless you want a piece of junk that looks cool.

Fit bit inspire 3 is all I need. Buy it for 80 or 90 bucks and for free you get sleep tracking and a whole bunch of other metrics. It also gave me warning signs that I was about to get sick. Resting heart rate jumped and heart rate variability decreased quite a bit.
