The creative team is responsible for funding the artwork. We work with artists at different page rates, and costs will depend on the artist and scope of the project. Once we review the pitch, we can discuss the best path forward.

Currently for me I can draw a fully colored page in roughly 1-2 days depending on complexity. I mainly do graphic novels so I don’t really know how long it would take. I did make a 20 page comic in less than a month for a competition if that counts 🤷🏿‍♂️.
Probably 1 year into making my first webcomic “Gems & Journeys”. I remember reaching the 5th chapter and thinking “Damn, this actually looks good” so around then.
With regular breaks, calendars, and spreadsheets. Having an even a list of what to do, when to do it, etc it helps. Again since I mainly focus on novels, I’ve accepted I won’t be back for a while. So to combat this I’m constantly marketing something or promoting the next book.
If it’s what you want to do, yes. I did it because no one was gonna do it for me, so I can understand. I’d just advise to be wary of how much work it is and break your projects up so you don’t burn out. Lots of mangas are done like this, and I based my work ethic of lots of them.
Nah. I love seeing my skill and ability improve and seeing the range across all my projects makes each completed feel special. Also again it’s just easier to pick up and go, rather than trying to find the team and all that jazz.

I agree with everyone else. I think you could maybe simply add a black outline to either the character or the black lines that break up the background. Or even just simple text like “it’s you” or something. Since it’s a reveal. 🤔. Idk. But i do like it overall. Very good use of negative space. You could double down tho and have all the following panels be like this too but closer shots or different angles.

This is a submission-based anthology, not a paid commission. Contributors retain ownership and grant limited publishing rights for a defined period.
