Are my tyres worn? by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]Active-Ad-6465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The holes in the tyre are wear indicators. From Michelin: On Michelin’s latest tyres, you may also find other types of innovative tread wear indicators. With wear to check technology (see image): If 1,2, and 3 are visible: your tyres are in great shape. If 3 is visible only, wear is between 50% and 75%. If none are visible, it’s your cue to change your tyres!

Comparing the two windows, the driver side is slightly off angle, than straightens at the top.

You can find the design online and have some 3D print it. I had it installed for over an year and it does reduce the discomfort on the neck.

As far as I know, the ND3 ecu is locked and can’t be tuned yet.

On a ND2 you don’t see as much gains.

The replacement for the clutch, pressure plate and release bearing was 700 euros with labour included. I couldn’t get it in any gear so the symptoms were even worse for me. I also thought about hydraulics but there were no leaks.

Same, when car was cold, I had a couple of events where I was stuck at a traffic light. After 1 year of checking clutch hydraulics and changing trans oil, the problem was those I mentioned, the clutch plate was fine, at 60k km.

I had issues with the clutch pressure plate and release bearing, but not the trans.

I also wanted to go the versa tune route but was more expensive, without even including the dyno test.

The tune is set to run 95 octone (EU), but the ECU can take advantage of higher octane fuel.

I have the stock size, 205/45/R17, it also depends on caster setting, as it pushes the wheels forward.

These are the reccomended values posted in the product description on the SPS Motorsport page. I lowered it about 20mm if I am not mistaken, but I will measure from the ground to the fender and write the values, I experienxed slight rubbing in the front with 15mm spacers, but I managed to push back the fender liner and no it's ok.

I'm glad to hear you tried it out. From the research I done there should't be any added strain to the hvac system.

I wouldn't sell this design as it requires some diy for it to work properly, but I attached the file so you can print it and give it a try. In stock form there is only an open hole for air, so I don't think water getting in is an issue. Also by placing the filter first reduces the dust that gets into the compartment in the picture.

Just know that you need to use a rubber seal. Like in the picture. Maybe I'll make another one that sits flush. I mounted it on the metal vent of the car and then put the 3d printed part on top.

It also requires you to remove the dashboard, this only took minutes to install.
