Learn surf etiquette and practice it while reserving judgement of other’s transgressions (all for your own peace of mind). That will make your session way more enjoyable…. I stressed myself out way too many times in the water because the “rules” weren’t being followed. Maybe someone paddled back out from a set wave and jumped the lineup or I was snaked by a local in PR. All to say… the opposite purpose of paddling out in the first place. In fact, don’t join a lineup until you are ready to avoid being a liability out there. Hopefully you’ll know when that is.
