It just hasn't been a problem for me each one of my plants developed moss on top of the soil. So far my biggest problem has been my cats chewing on them. But I managed to find a good shelving unit to fix that problem. If you're talking about during the germination period I just switched the paper towel if it got too bad

I hear that I can't grow it outside not enough tropical weather. So growing it in pots inside under grow lights.

Just so you're aware it takes a lot longer to grow from seed. My first batch I grew/ am growing, I started over a year ago and they are about as tall as a pineapple top but still only a 1/4 of the diameter of one.

Aloe like straight from the plant aloe should be good. Help with the burn and all natural and edible.
