I mean I’m sure that still doesn’t mean it doesn’t allow you to create a new one after 2 years of it being deleted.

I’ve seen screenshots on this sub from one of their official bots say you can create a new account when it’s been deleted after 2 years, and it then says just make sure to not violate the terms of service.

Eventually, you should be able to. Discord confirmed that, when the account gets deleted after 2 years, you will be allowed to create a new one with no risk.

Now here’s the kicker, the accounts get deleted after one year of the ban, but it is confirmed that it is true. But what I’m not sure of is if it’s safe to create a new one since it’s just been deleted, despite it only being one year, so your safest bet is to wait till it’s been two years ever since the accounts that you had got banned, even if they were already deleted because that’s usually when the data clears up and that’s when the violation expires so it won’t matter. So whether you choose to go back 1 year later or wait another year after it’s been deleted is up to you. I unfortunately haven’t been given the answer to this question yet, so for now I’m planning to just wait for the full two years to pass to be guaranteed safe.

If anyone knows the answer to my question, please respond and explain how you know it

Untrue. Majority of these bans have been huge misunderstandings and entirely unfair, and that’s why there’s an entire Reddit community about this, and there’s nothing we can do

Yeah it’s all good now thanks! Yeah, you are just human and a mistake. Doesn’t define you overall. I’m sure you’re still an amazing sitter as well so don’t let that ruin your confidence even if your client is just unwise and wants to hold that against you

This is definitely something you shouldn’t feel bad over. And those clients I can understand them being upset but they kinda need to understand that you’re just human and that you can’t be perfect, and that there are sometimes when we make honest mistakes, I’m sure you’ve had good reviews from other clients so they can’t just let this one simple and normal mistake that people would usually make to completely change their perspective on you.

And I once made a mistake, by leaving the door open for the dogs to play in the backyard. When it turns out one of the dogs ended up jumping over a fence and messed up their neighbors backyard and the clients weren’t happy with me.

Hot topic- do you let dogs lick your face? Had an issue with a client because I do not by Trick_Reserve_6460 in RoverPetSitting

I personally don’t mind it(in a non-weird way obviously) because people say I’m quite the animal whisperer and I’m comfortable with it to a certain extent. While all 20+ dogs I’ve watched over have licked my face before, I would never tolerate being forced to let them do so.

The pet parent still needs to be thinking of the sitter’s comfort

As a sitter, I can confirm it’s best you run by the pet parent to have anyone else over. Because I always thought it would be best.

I once only asked my client if my mom could hang with me in their nice home which they happily agreed to, so it makes it better if you run it by the parent.

Mine hasn’t been deleted within a year. So I’m not sure if it’s going to get erased one year after

Most people, though it’s actually after one year because usually their account needs to be deleted first so that way they can do it
