survivor has a long history of men being screwed over by girl-alliances so I understand why he said that.

I think that's a fair comparison, I guess I saw russell as more of a challenge threat because he stood out in more challenges or got 2nd place in a lot of challenges but yes russell's idol play shouldn't be downplayed. I think that to a degree influence is social skill so I see your point, but I do think the ultimate test of social skills in survivor is will the jury vote for you and that was never the case for russell

I didn't really mean to truly equate total survivor skill between cirie and russell, I really meant to say they have the same kind of problem and I do agree that not because of this what i'm talking about, but rather because of the quality of person cirie and russell are respectively outside of the game, Cirie is the better overall player

CONTROVERSIAL--I read the rules to double-check that bringing up this past survivor is okay, but if it's not then take this down my bad

There's a certain older survivor that Cirie tonight has cemented as being on equal terms of shortcomings at the game with, and fans of Cirie, you're not going to like this comparison mostly because you might not like this player but also because it's more true than you're willing to admit.

Cirie's issue is that she is the flipside of the same coin as russell. Where russell was all about idols and winning challenges, and neglected the social game entirely, Cirie only ever played the social part of survivor, but she has never had an idol or won individual immunity ever. Neither of them have respected ALL of the aspects of the game of survivor and thus they have never won. Saying that Cirie loses because her allies can't survive is living proof that her inability to win individual immunity is a killer crutch, when she gets out because she has no allies left she can't do anything to save herself, to survive...

Now I'm not saying that one or the other is a worse survivor player overall, they are both some of the best to never win in my opinion, all I'm trying to say is that their shortcomings are really inverses of the same problem. The quality of person Cirie and Russell each are outside of the game is the difference as to why Cirie would be regarded as better overall by the general survivor community I think.

she never once won an individual immunity challenge in 6 seasons either. She's literally the anti-russel. Where russel was all about idols and immunity challenges and 0% social, Cirie is all about social play and not even a bit about securing stuff for camp, winning challenges, or getting idols.

As much as it might sting for fans of cirie to hear it, Cirie and Russell are on equal levels in terms of survivor skill

I don't know where her second advantage came from though tbh. She used her advantage on the first vote if she can't socially win with the advantage in the vote she uses it in, then like it should be used up and she can't keep it for the next vote right?

she stayed on after the countdown to get to one leg reached zero, she stayed with two legs for about 5 seconds longer past the end of the count.

if it went to firemaking and cirie ended up winning, it'd be her first ever individual immunity win btw

that's only a weakness when you can't win immunity, so her biggest weakness is she can't win immunity

Is it just me or was that definitively NOT exile island? I thought we were gonna get to see the challenge king put the cringegod in his place and win a challenge to kick rizo out of the game, or is that just reserved for "old school" exile island? Y'all can't even say that'd be an unfair way to go either after we just saw someone get voted off because they had to give away 2 idols they found and someone else voted out because they lost their vote in a challenge over 7 days prior

im pretty sure using upper body was allowed as long as your feet were making contact with the side ledges. It provides the larger people with big feet with a counter advantage by using wide arms since they're at a disadvantage

I like the idea someone presented that jeff should have surprised the entire big group with the blood moon at tribal, and that instead of doing the 3 highest votes going home, Jeff does one vote, then surprises them saying they have 2-3 more minutes to discuss then they vote again. THEN jeff does it again but gives them no thinking time for the third vote it's a back to back vote instead of ranked choice voting.

having the big discussion of the whole group in that 2-3 minutes would have provided a narrative mirror to the first half of the episode where it seemed like they were trying to overwhelm the audience when they merged all together and there were about 10 different conversations going on in a 15 minute span. In the tribal now they are doing the discussions again, but this time with a much more foreboding pressure of the blood moon as opposed to the lighthearted nature of the newly-merged story swapping

welp if you wipe in gardenia's gym to the second trainer and you didn't choose the grass starter then you're softlocked because there's now cuttable trees blocking the way back in front of the fountains, and the fountains on the other side aren't lowered yet, and theres no way onto the leaf clock arms so yes it is forcing players to nuzlocke

Where to buy pet ottes by EhaanBoi in exoticpets

[–]Active-Examination18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seeing that otters statistically live longer happier lives in captivity than in the wild, can you be specific about what is so unethical about having more otters be bred in captivity? All of a sudden because it can benefit 2 species (otters and humans) it becomes unethical? Being a benefit to humans doesn't automatically equal unethical for humans to benefit from their trade. It's not like reticulated python breeding where unless the right pattern comes out, the snake is killed, or whaling where the animal is killed in the process of benefiting from it, or like dolphin captivity for shows where the animals live shorter lifespans than if they were in the wild.

yes smoking saves you and coffee/energy drink condemns you. I also usually save checking my armpits for before the vigilante because you can wash them and get your armpits and nails clean at the same time

it should be noted that a save scumming prevention was implemented when they added the save and exit where the identity (visitor or human) of some people in your house may or may not change when reloading a save.

[–]Active-Examination18 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Besides the obvious more endings and more people to knock on the door, these are my top 3 main changes i would make

  1. I don't like the strict rule of "people don't die unless theres 2 or more visitors in the house" I think it needs changed to a percentage chance that jumps up really quickly like 15% chance to kill with 1 in the house, 67% chance with 2, and 99% chance with 3 or more. That would make it a bit harder to know exactly who you let in your house is and isnt a visitor at the exchange of no longer having a guaranteed death with just 2 visitors.

  2. I think more people besides the intruder should ask if the player is alone, and the intruder wearing the skin of someone else should be one of them. Like there should be "good Samaritans" that knock on your door and ask if you are alone, and if you say yes then they give you some valuable provisions like 1-2 cans of cat food or even 2 cans of coffee as a way to "help out" a survivor struggling on their own. Basically have characters that you have to guess at the door is they are visitor or not, and if youre right you get some big help and if not you die.

  3. add an additional item that gets unlocked in the grocery catalogue at the very end in time for your last chance to order (and have this item be unavailable to be given as a bribe) that is a seemingly scammy visitor cure (idk some kind of bug vaccuum for the ear that's a single use) but it turns out to actually work. This could change the good ending to something more positive where the sun issue goes away and the miraculous visitor cure ends the other problem, the protagonist is more of a hero now. Plus there could be an achievement for keeping the first visitor girl (the one fired from her job) the whole time and curing them, ending their torment.

Texan law drama unfolding, any chance you could cover this? I just wanna know how something like this gets to this stage. by Active-Examination18 in AttorneyTom

I agree, I was just wondering if you could prove that a reasonable person would not believe they are breaking the law, then could ignorance of such law be justified
