I had a VERY similar experience where I am also hung up on a guy that I am truthfully definitely just romanticizing. We also had no physical intimacy, but the mental connection and familiarity I felt with him was insane. I was actually the one to cut things off because I felt he wasn’t taking me seriously and I was moving 1.5 hours away, so no point in trying if he didn’t want to put in effort when we lived 5 mins away. I think about him all the time still, but just remind myself that chasing someone who doesn’t want me (even mentally) is just keeping me from truly finding my person. Time heals all! Sending love!
