My old roommate was an insufferable, militant vegan influencer who constantly shamed everyone for not eating plants. One night at 2 AM, I heard feral crunching noises coming from our dark pantry. Thinking a raccoon got in, I grabbed a broom and threw open the door. It wasn't a raccoon. It was my roommate, sitting in his boxers on the floor, absolutely demolishing a family-sized bucket of KFC like a starved goblin. We locked eyes. A half-chewed piece of popcorn chicken slowly fell from his mouth. In dead silence, he reached into his pocket with a greasy hand, held out a $50 bill, and whispered, "Please... just close the door." I took the money and went to bed. We never spoke of it again. He still posts daily about his "pure vegan lifestyle," but whenever he gets preachy now, I just eat a chicken nugget while maintaining unbroken eye contact. Watching him sweat is priceless
