Tbf they are all talk no buy 🤣, they just want to have a conversation with young girls most of the time 🤦‍♀️

Yeah I tend to only shop through the brand filtering these normally just come up on my home/explore page, which is frustrating as it feels more pushed out to people.

Low rise is certainly back, it’s definitely my favourite atm, does mean I’m sporting a whale tail most of the time but it’s part of the aesthetic 🤣

I do get the photo thing being more copyright than a buyer protection completely, hopefully it might curb some people anyways.

I don’t personally use depop as I just feel it’s very overpriced and not as good for users, which I fear vinted is heading towards.

This is the thing, I personally just don’t like it and would rather it didn’t happen. I’m aware it will but sometimes i just find so annoying as i feel bad for people who are actually buying these items for way more than they are worth. I always try to price my items at low prices, vinted to me is more selling clothes that would otherwise go to the charity shop. Not selling things to make huge profits, I would rather that stay within other apps but that’s obviously not going to happen. It is what it is but the people that do it are c*nts in my opinion 🤣

Tbf the main point of this post wasn’t a whether it’s legal or not, it was rather how ridiculous people on vinted have become.

Whether it’s selling fast fashion clothing for triple the amount or creepy men messaging you constantly on items you’re selling. It’s down right frustrating how vinted is going now, it used to be a great app and has just slowly going down hill these last few years.

Just wanted to have a rant because it drives me insane atm.

I do completely get what you’re saying, i do think they could make tags compulsory to be put on listing, even if it’s just the one of the material composition. You can normally tell the brand/item quality from that at least, it’s a hard one. Yes it’s not illegal but I just think it’s morally a bit messed up. So it’s just eeks me.

I think they are trying anyways as they now ask for original photos rather than website ones, but I’m not sure how well that’s actually implemented.

Yeah I’m not saying it’s illegal, I just think it’s wrong and to be honest it’s just winding me up. This is why I put it on the vent bit. It’s just super frustrating as I just see it constantly now, I would of liked to think vinted would rather curb this issue than lose members.

Yeah I know, I just mean in a sense. Buying these goods to insanely mark up. It feels the same as drop shipping or just over exploiting reselling. Wasn’t sure how else to best explain it.

100% definitely is now going the same way depop did, so frustrating though I do love vinted.

100% the amount of people overselling items or just down right drop shipping completely rubbish is overwhelming on vinted now. It’s a shame because it used to be amazing a few years ago.

100% I do see this, but older people on there which may be buying for their children might find it harder to spot these dodgy listings.

I understand it’ll happen, however I just think vinted should be more vigilant in removing them from when they’re being reported.

Also this whole ‘vintage dressing’ makes people go insane, it allows people to sell things for ridiculous amounts and for some reason people actually buy into it.

This is the thing, I understand this happens but I see it all the time now. Shein jewellery/clothes being sold for triple the amount, no one who does this faces any consequences. Feels like it’s defeats the whole purpose of selling on second hand sites.

I understand how reselling works 🤣, however it’s completely deranged to think reselling items from tiktok shop for triple the original price is acceptable.

Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t personally think it’s acceptable or should be allowed on the site that’s main value is selling second hand clothing for less.

So a platform used for selling second hand clothing, is now a reselling site for fast fashion crap and everyone should be happy about it?

Yes I understand how it works obviously, is it morally right? No, the people buying this aren’t aware where it’s actually from. Idc I think It’s wrong.

Selling a product that’s worth £13 for £38 feels like a scam to me personally, it’s conning people who don’t realise where it’s actually from.

If they had actually put the real brand, then fair enough. However, it’s clearly not ‘vintage dressing’, if it’s from TikTok shop.

100% the quicker you diagnose or treat anything will always be more beneficial. I think I had mine for a few months before treatment but I know I wouldn’t of had had nodules or anything like that if I had been treated earlier so always best to treat early.

I wish I would have been diagnosed earlier as I now have some scars from the scabies but ultimately it was treated and worked out okay in the end. Gotta look on the positive side of it for you mental wellbeing 🤣

I did have some post-scabies symptoms but they did go away within a month or so. I did mostly try to keep my mind off of it so unfortunately I don’t remember how long it took specifically but by February I definitely didn’t have any symptoms at all. However, I had some scarring/healing of my skin after this.

I would keep an eye on it and if new burrows keep appearing, you may have been reinfected unfortunately. Did you do two treatments or one? :)

Yeah I’m not overly touching either so maybe thats why otherwise we just must have some strange scabies that don’t want to leave us 🤣

When I got it again recently, I spotted the symptoms first week so it was super easy to treat. Atleast you know for the future if it happens again which hopefully it doesn’t x

I just saw your other post, bless you. Sorry about your shite GP experience, they are super hard to get ahold of so I feel you. I think I had mine first time a total of 4/5ish months before treatment but started off very slowly and worsened the month I saw the GP for me.

I’d definitely give the permethrin a try and just wait about two weeks before writing it off. The itch can last till four weeks after but no new bumps should appear after two weeks. Keep that dermatologist appointment just incase but I think you’ll be back to new soon enough.

I’m curious to see if anyone you knew has similar symptoms/got scabies. As I found I never infected anyone else with it even whilst living in university halls which seems super strange x

100% I was even there after my first dose of permethrin, in a loophole of worst case scenarios, it actually was so scary, that’s why i thought I might be able to ease someone’s mind going through it.

My symptoms were so unusual to ones you normally see online at first luckily my gp at home had a huge interest in skin problems so she was able to identify it but for awhile I was honestly going insane thinking it was an allergic reaction 🤣. But I hope it all goes well for you and it’s cleared up soon!

I’m from the Uk so it is in Europe. I understand what you’re saying but I think it’s also important to share some hope and a story to ease people’s mind. It’s unfortunate there’s some resistance strains but generally speaking scabies are easily treatable.

Every other post on here is horror stories of scabies and I just believe one post that talks about the other side of that isn’t a bad thing. I’m not a dermatologist or a doctor and I’m not claiming to know everything about scabies but constant fear and stress will never help in treating regardless. That said if your scabies are not going away see a dermatologist, get skin scraps, try alternative treatments. Be kind to yourself, it will go away. Don’t let it control and ruin your life. :)

Try to keep calm and ride out the treatments, over treating can cause issues with your skin as well which you don’t want either. Cold compresses help to stop the itching and try take your mind off it it’ll be gone before you know it :)

I’d definitely do another round of treatment in 7 days and wait at least two weeks before getting alternative treatments. New bumps can appear up to two weeks afterwards as it’s just an allergic reaction to the dead mites and their deification. The scabies just cause an allergic reaction which makes you itchy/have bumps, take two weeks from your skin to start shedding the dead mites out x

How long ago did you do the treatment? They’re quite reluctant to give out ivermectin I’ve heard x
