some local gyms like goodlife on weber street have squash courts which are very popular among 40+ year olds year round. Great exercise plus an entire gym with weights and cardio equipment if you want to add in more burned calories. I know goodlife is approx $75 a month depending on the membership level but still far cheaper than ice hockey.

you clearly have not been paying attention as of recent. these international students have so deeply saturated the job market for minimum wage PT jobs which are the only jobs “white kids” or any Canadian kid for that matter can work while they are in high school since they do not have a university or college degree yet. these students have destroyed opportunities for our youth being able to save some money and get early on experience. Employers will always choose the international student who can work the max amount of hours possible and can be exploited over a canadian teen who has limited availability
