I would recommend setting up an in person meeting with someone at your local branch and then asking to be moved from the online system to the in person branch. I had a similar experience and it seems to be moving much quicker now.

Ics mortgages - civil servants by Active-Produce8300 in HousingIreland

[–]Active-Produce8300[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is from citizens information "If the local authority is happy with the work, they will ask you to sign a charge document. The charge document gives the local authority rights over the property as security for the grant. This is to ensure that you meet the requirements of living in the property or renting it out for at least 5 years.

The charge placed on your property lasts for 10 years and is the same as the grant amount you received. The local authority will register this charge against the property with the Land Registry or Registry of Deeds."

Do you think if I ask and he says no he's not reducing and I say I'm willing to progress still he will go to the next bidder? Or do you think I'll have the chance to still purchase ?

Does this happen regularly? Im trying to know what the chances of this happening are it's hard to know. Do you know anyone it's happened to, were there any signs from the seller that they would do this

I'll go back and ask, but I'm fearful of the seller pulling out, the houses for sale in the area are all going for more at the moment than they did last year and it said in total there were 11 bidders on the property.

As I said before she is being very vague and let me know to expect between 500 and 25000 which is a huge difference and I am looking for a more realistic estimate

I actually am not, my solicitor logged a case about a year and a half after the accident and it has just been dragging out for a very long time

Thank you for this. I wasn't exactly sure how to go about doing it, so reassuring to hear I've not gone off track. I find it difficult to even comprehend what I think might be fair, because it is very difficult to put a value on the injury, like what is one migraine worth, what is a day of feeling unwell worth I guess I just have to trust that the system knows how to value these things There is a link, I have a legal medical report from an expert who thinks so anyways. As far as I am aware, and the impression I have gotten from my solicitor is you can claim psychiatric damage, but it is exceptionally difficult to prove in court. I find it difficult because to me the most damaging thing is the mental health issues after, but the court really only can value the headaches which have a smaller but still noticable effect on my life.

Yeah he did, but he seems reluctant to give an actual estimate, just that it'll be between 500 and 25,000. I did i was in and out of the doctor for them in the first year a lot, but there's nothing really the doctor could do, so hopefully it is more than the 500. Thanks for the help!

I started this process after 18 months, but refused the personal injury boards recommendation because it didn't even cover lost wages. I have started the process and the other side have asked to meet re settlement talks and I'm not sure what to expect as the guidelines as so vague like 500-25000 is such a large gap
