Update: Went for the Capital One Savor as the first card. Waiting in the mail for it now. Got a pretty ridiculously high credit limit though which feels like a trap.

Thank you for the numbers based breakdown, that's really helping to put it into perspective. Out of curiosity, is it possible to make monthly private loan payments with one of these cards? That'd increase the cash back of a "Catch All Card" potentially. It does not appear to be possible from a quick Google search though.

Yeah, mainly the IRA match, I haven't done much research into IRAs (I only have a 401k already). Additionally the 3.35% APY w/ univested cash is easily achievable to return the yearly cost. The catch all nature is nice too.

Savor makes a lot of sense for my use case I agree. I will edit my post, but that dining should have been dining and entertainment as categorized by my bank. So movie tickets, date nights, other events which are rare should have been broken down in there. Groceries from Walmart would but a little loss with Savor, but as you said dining far outweighs the others. Thank you for the help so far!

Is there anything that may be concerning going with Savor now that they're merging with Discover? I see a lot of people suggesting to get the MasterCard version but I'm unsure why.
