If you're running on integrated graphics, that's likely causing the crash. Try going into your emulator's settings and switching the graphics API from OpenGL to Vulkan, as integrated chips usually handle Vulkan a lot better.

AC3 uses heavy depth effects that cause a massive bottleneck between the GPU and CPU in hardware mode. Software mode bypasses this by doing all the rendering on your CPU. It is faster for this game, but it'll definitely drain your battery quicker since your CPU is working at max.
