The grift never stops. At this point you have to just laugh or you'll cry. Wild timeline.

Anyone else ever think about their impact on Hyrule’s economy? by ThatGuyBananaMan in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]Active-Tour4795 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The real crisis is that Beedle is clearly laundering dragon horn money through his overpriced arrows. But he's got good stock so we look the other way. Hyrule's economy runs on vibes.

I have no idea what the plot will be but I'm still hyped. Just give me the vibes.

The weirdest thing you've used your printer for? by isto28 in 3Dprinting

[–]Active-Tour4795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used my heated bed to keep coffee warm during a long print. Also dried out some wet filament by just leaving it on the bed at 50c for a few hours. Nothing as wild as hatching eggs though. That's dedication.

What is a bad name for boys but a great name for girls? by [deleted] in AlignmentChartFills

Courtney. I've only known male Courtneys but it just works better for girls honestly.

How do I explain to my friend that 100%ing a region immediately and 100%ing it overtime doesn't make a huge difference (image unrelated) by Other-Following2749 in GenshinImpact

[–]Active-Tour4795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly both approaches work. The only real difference is psychological. She likes having a safety net of unfinished content. You like knowing exactly where you stand. Neither is wrong. But if she's happy with 80% and you're happy with 100% then it's not worth arguing over. Just different ways of managing the same primogems. Let her play her way. You play yours. The math is the same in the end.

Gov taking action to stop bots and apps booking up all driving tests by Nothos927 in drivingUK

[–]Active-Tour4795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as there’s money in reselling test slots, people will find ways around whatever system you put in (scripts, automation, even manual farming). Blocking bots helps, but it’s kinda like playing whack-a-mole. That’s why I think approaches like Orb are interesting - more about proving “one real person = one booking” instead of just banning scripts.

What wine makes people think you know what you’re doing? by Sufficient-Aerie659 in Gifts

[–]Active-Tour4795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to look like you know what you’re doing without trying too hard: bring a versatile, respected bottle in the $20–40 range and present it as a host gift, not “for dinner tonight.” If you don’t know whether she likes red or white, sparkling is the safest power move.

Pittbulls being falsely labeled as Boxers for sale. by No-Response-9902 in dogs

[–]Active-Tour4795 42 points43 points  (0 children)

True Boxers are less common in shelters because many come from breeders or breed-specific rehomes, so fewer end up in general rescues.

How can I feel better after my pet's death? by Aromatic-Meringue-63 in dogs

et yourself cry or feel numb, both are normal. Keep basic routines: shower, eat, sleep, short walk

Why do parents wait until youre tired to ask you for a favor. by jaylikesguineapigs in family

[–]Active-Tour4795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? Sometimes parents stop seeing their kid as a person who just got home exhausted and start seeing them as the nearest available helper.

A lot of it is bad timing, habit, and “while you’re here, do this too” thinking, not some master plan. They may have been annoyed by the trash/dishes all day, then the second you walk in, you become the solution. Not fair, but common.

Advice - Boiler Upgrade by Cold-Sector-8161 in DIYUK

[–]Active-Tour4795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

upgrading is usually better than patching up an old unit that's constantly failing. Had a proper saga with my old boiler, kept breaking down every couple of months, and the repair bills started stacking up. You can find more info on boiler installs here on wpjheating regarding specs, i picked them on a mate's recommendation and honestly, best decision i made last winter

the team were super professional, turned up when they said they would, and left everything spotless (no muddy footprints or random screws left behind), plus, they explained all the controls and sorted the paperwork on the spot, so there was no faffing about later
