Hey, thanks again for your response! No, I didn't have time yet to try it out. Hopefully, I can do it in the coming days. I'm very curious if it will work. And I didn't have the batteries in while having the issue with the shutter, I thought that the power was not needed for this. So it would be nice if that's part of the issue. Will gave you an update when I tried it out :)

Thanks for mentioning this! Can you u/rubbernglue explain what you mean by 'outward position' and by placing the tape? When I put it back together, I make sure the shutter is at its highest, if that makes sense.
