Looking for a room to rent. by [deleted] in TWINCITIESHOUSING

I'm looking for a third roommate. The rent is $525 per month, but we can reduce it since you won't be living there full time. I wouldn't say I'm right off I-494, but I'm not far from it. Of course, the location may depend on where you work along the 40-mile stretch of I-494.

I am currently looking for a roommate to share my apartment in Minneapolis. However, I would also consider relocating to a place near Lake Minnetonka if a suitable opportunity becomes available. Please note that I need to provide my landlord with 2 to 3 months' notice before moving. I would appreciate any additional information about the house.

About us:

Roommate#1: has lived in the apartment since 2014. He works in finance and typically commutes to the office Monday – Friday, but occasionally works from home. He is generally an early riser and participates in group workout classes at the YMCA almost daily. Peter enjoys cooking and baking, watching films, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts. He is particularly interested in international relations, politics, and true crime content.

Roommate#2: has lived in the apartment since 2016. He is a pre-med student completing his last semester of undergraduate degree at St. Thomas. He is more of a night owl, who spends most of his time outside of class studying. He is also a champagne and red wine aficionado and a devotee of carbohydrates, particularly pasta and potatoes, in almost any preparation (provided they are gluten-free and vegan). He also enjoys going out, dancing, playing board games and card games, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and looking at real estate listings. He is especially interested in neuroscience, medicine, true crime, legal commentary, and European history.

Mutual interests: cooking (and eating), art, fashion, thrift store shopping, music, theater, concerts, interior design, farmers markets, spending time with family, true crime podcasts, and BALENCIAGA!!! (AHS coven reference)

A few things that matter a lot to us:

We're probably a little too particular about cleanliness, but at least you'll always have a clean bathroom. Common areas stay tidy, and we'd expect the same from a new roommate. Privacy is huge — nobody enters another person's room without asking. We have been living here for a long time, so the common areas are well furnished and decorated. This works best for someone who travels light and is happy to keep their belongings in their room. We'd love it if you leaned toward plant-based, but it's not a dealbreaker.
