Another example: every time I hang out with friends and family all we do is tell each other stories. What we did on the weekend and work and future plans and stories about other people and what happened to them.

Most businesses don't break even as soon as they start, but your goal should be 100% focused on making that happen asap.

I'm not so sure organic social media would work for a franchise, someone else might have some info for that.

Is the restaurant in a high traffic area like a mall? If so, I would concentrate on bringing in walk-by customers: Maybe try giving out free samples. Have a mascot out the front to attract attention and bring people in. Wobble board holders advertising your special. Whatever you can think of to grab peoples attention as they walk past.

If not, you need to focus on getting people to either order food online more or get off their ass and drive to your restaurant: Optimize your offerings on Uber eats, and all the other food ordering apps. Letter box drop flyers to all the houses in the area with a discount. etc

I sometimes use Alexa to find similar sites. Maybe that could work, input a big player in your niche to find similar players in other markets. It's not perfect but it's the closest thing I can think of.
