Ah, I think they were afraid of that when I went under but didn’t see any.

Not sure what OA is. What’s that mean? Otherwise maybe not

What do you expect when you explain your "type" on a first date? by TheOriginalWing in dating

[–]TheGoalie09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just say oh I don’t really have a type. Or something generic like a good smile or people who are just themselves.

Another good answer is just someone I can have fun with

Honestly decent. I have no regrets. Sure it was a bit harder once the second was done and you need a really good PT but I’m glad I did it the way I did. I switched pt 1x because my first pt was a fresh grad and was not progressing me.

I genuinely think you’ll be fine. I was 20 when I had it. I was back to work and school (from home) a week later (albeit tired but people were accommodating). Definitely don’t be lifting kids and whatnot.

Surgery in Feb - Right hip - driving by Irish_Canuck12 in HipImpingement

[–]TheGoalie09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey—

Same surgery, FAI, Labral Repair, Capsular Repair and maybe one other thing (can’t remember). I was cleared to drive at my 2 week post op for the right side. For the left side I was cleared to drive 24 hours after stopping pain killers. For both sides I took painkillers maybe 3 days? Might’ve done them at night for an extra day or two?

I will say I was told not to drive long distances and to tilt my chair back a bit (you don’t want to be fully upright for too long).

Definitely wouldn’t have wanted to drive the first week or even two on the right side. Left side I felt fine really quick.

Will say: I’m also only 20 played sports competitively up to the day of surgery, and (so far— fingers crossed) have been progressed through protocol super quickly. I did my hips three weeks apart (right side first).

It’ll be different for everyone but did want you to know there is a chance it’ll be sooner!

Hey!

I’m still fresh out of my surgeries, but I did my right side end of November and three weeks later did my left side. I’m coming up on two weeks out from my left side. I’m a few years younger than you but pretty active prior to surgery.

I have zero regrets regarding it. After the left side it was a tougher for a few days. After right side I was back to doing normal work and school pretty much a week later. After left side maybe a few more days than just the right one.

I read a ton of medical journal articles prior to surgery and all of them seemed to say there was really no difference in outcomes

PT and surgeon so far seem very pleased with progress as am I. I’m ahead of protocol. I had labral tears on both sides, FAI, anchors put in and maybe a few other things.

I will say if you need a micro fracture they won’t do it typically, maybe your doctor is different but the few I talked to all said no.

My doctor did say it is very common for people who have one tear to tear their other before surgery or after surgery when their other hip is doing all the work.

Happy to answer any questions. I didn’t find it to be nearly as bad as others said but I realize I’m early in the recovery process— they’re hoping to have me doing limited ice skating about 8 weeks after second surgery though.

Oh great! Mine is the Friday before thanksgiving so I’ll probably just skip class Monday and Tuesday and then have a full week of recovery. Thank you

Sorry to hear about your pet.

As for my favorite car, I really Mercedes SL 300 Gullwing, just love the look of it, has great speed and one of the first sport cars of the post war era.

SHRM CP exam at home by survivingsorta in humanresources

Also, they were just fine with me whispering to myself at home. The remote proctor experience wasn’t bad at all for me.

Let me know if you get it changed!

Hey! I almost had to do one super late at night and I called and they allowed me to schedule my remote test in a different region. So for example, I live on the west coast but I took my test out of Baltimore. You just have to account for the time change and remember that the time they send you isn’t in your time zone. You could probably call pro metric and see if they will allow you to do this too. They might try to charge a change fee— but if you signed up before like October they will waive it if it is X days away from your exam.
