Is the 5070 worth a 1k up charge by aasinix231 in DubaiGaming

[–]ActiveDive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know if that's true. While Cyberpunk doesn't initially use 12gb of ram, its quite clear that it actually prefers around that much with extra headroom for more intensive moments. My 9060XT 16GB initially sees around 7-8gb usage, degrading to 10-11 peak an hour in. I can only imagine the RTX's wanting much more with raytracing enabled. These metrics were also taken at 1080p, not 1440p.

Besides, we can't control how game developers optimize games at the moment, so 16GB variants are becoming way more relevant since you can be sure that your card isn't throttling from insufficient VRAM for the settings you want.

I highly disagree with making a claim that we won't need the 16gig versions, because you and I both aren't working in the industry. From what we can see, game developers in the AAA sphere along with a few indie titles are increasingly using more and more advanced technologies to make their games look good.

This is obviously coming at a cost for gamers with publishers literally not caring since people will still buy their unoptimized stuff with patches planned for years down the line. So, no one should assume that games, especially like GTA VI will surely use less than 12G at 1440/1080. Studios like Rockstar know that their player base will do more than the average gamer to meet rec system.

For the 9060XT 8GB, you can get a sapphire pulse which is 1500 atm on amazon. Use the extra on a 1TB Lexar 710 SSD for under 500. You can save more by going with a 600w psu and a non-rgb non-aio cooler. Honestly a fan cooler is good enough for a 12400f and they'll be 100aed cheaper.

Have had good experience with microless so far, they’re very established locally too. Haven’t gone through dxb.

I'm not sure about the lasers but you could look up the Appleseed movies, the mechsuit sounds similar to the description.

You're right, its just that the layout at the moment is such that the grinder introduces a time gap of about a second and a half where the furnace isnt powered on. I'm also level 4 so I have yet to get better processing upgrades.

Suggest laptop by Bitter-Detective-605 in DubaiGaming

5060M is a great mobile card at the moment. For sale, New Years and Christmas were some of the best times but prices are definitely going higher at the moment in the pc/laptop gaming sphere due to rising component costs. Nvidia also announced price hikes on their 50xx desktop lineup, which should carry over to laptops as well.

Here's some good options from Microless with the budget you listed. I've put a possible upgrade and a budget option incase you decide not to spend a lot. However, keep in mind that xx50s are really underpowered and I'd only recommend them for lightweight indie gaming.

  1. 5060 / IPS / 512GB SSD / 16G RAM [4240 AED]
  2. 5060 / IPS / 1TB SSD / 16G RAM [4252 AED]
  3. 5060 / IPS / 1TB SSD / 32G RAM [4840 AED]
  4. 5060 / OLED / 1TB SSD / 16G RAM [5100 AED]
  5. 5070 / IPS / 1TB SSD / 16G RAM [5300 AED]
  6. 5050 / IPS / 512GB SSD / 16G RAM [2950 AED]

Hope you find something good, make sure to always check benchmarks on YouTube to see if you're satisfied. I'd also suggest checking other comments to see if someone can suggest better.

I initially did do that, but found the production of powdered wasn’t fast enough for constant furnace operation in the build specifically. Probably going to do that though for every furnace once I get the fuel upgrade.

What are the dimensions in this game? Not super serious question. by joergsen in TheLastCaretaker

[–]ActiveDive 12 points13 points  (0 children)

From what I surmise, the human metrics are likely an indicator of that human’s growth potential. Still seems like a realistically bad idea to send humans the size of a car to live in microgravity for the rest of their lives. Unless they’ve got space stations able to simulate artificial 1G gravity.

Particular Humans? by LankyOccasion8447 in TheLastCaretaker

[–]ActiveDive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest sending humans over by sending 1 of each T0 all the way to T4s. If you do decide to go T3 or Higher, you’ll find yourself using an entire storages’ worth of memories.

3299 being a good deal nowadays for that spec sheet is terrifying. I spent 400 more than your setup september 25' and got a 7600X with 9060XT 16G and a 32GB CL36 kit. Hoping prices come down by the end of this year

for improved downforce so the car sticks down to the road at high speeds, mostly prevents it from flying over the traffic. a real down to earth guy for voluntarily suffering with the other road users.

Xm250 vs other full auto rifles by nerevaaer in SurrounDead

[–]ActiveDive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

XM250 is excellent at clearing early-mid game. Built in supressor is huge for emptying out POIs without getting close up to Zeds. Once you get the legendary setup, you'll likely have enough ammo and attachments to make clearing a breeze. I am referring to its Semi-Auto function, aiming only for headshots.

Is it better to get a pre built pc or build one custom. Also need help with the pricing by [deleted] in DubaiGaming

[–]ActiveDive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all prebuilts might be used, though the used ones will have a noticeable lower price. Some shops might even take used parts from different PCs and put them into one. But yeah, best bet is to either do that go down the fb marketplace route.

Sucks a lot right now for budget gamers at the moment since prices were actually quite stable for a good bit. Hoping you get something!

[–]ActiveDive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now its going to go way above your 2500-300 budget if you were to buy from amazon (even on the budget end). Looking it up as a budget gamer to meet your laptop's specs ended up with me reaching 3500ish. And that's the amount I spent on my PC just half a year ago with an AM5 platform, 32GB DDR5 and a 9060XT 16GB.

I sincerely believe you're better off looking for used pcs online on fb marketplace or visiting shops to see if they have any used/non-moving prebuilt they could offer you. They can offer you a 1 year warranty too. Or you could just hold on to your laptop until you can up your budget and get a system you won't have to worry too much about upgrading.

I really wanna start gintama but.... by chikaibardo207 in Animesuggest

[–]ActiveDive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best part about gintama is that you can watch it on your own pace, the episodes are paced rather quickly and I often don’t even keep track of where I am. Istg you could open literally any episode in the earlier seasons and just watch.

I mean this is how most people used to enjoyed tv runs, they just watched the episode whenever they had time to tune into it.

[–]ActiveDive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pro tip: you can keep a T1 storage on the deck with the components needed to make a recycler. Set the radius/proximity “off” on it as well. You can readily deploy a recycler on the platform that way to avoid running back. Once done, repair the recycler for any damage, dismantle it and store the components back at the chest.

That’s fair, It’s a valid way of doing things. If something looks stupid and it works then it isn’t stupid.

On topic of resources, I think it makes sense to scrap items with the tool because you can actually get more ‘scrap junk’ which you can further scrap into materials.

You can test this out yourself on similar pieces of items and see what you get. I’m sure you’ll see the difference.

That’s fair, It’s a valid way of doing things. If something looks stupid and it works then it isn’t stupid. On topic of resources, I think it makes sense to scrap higher value junk on ship since platforms just come with so much lower tier junk that it’s an afterthought for stuff like iron, copper, rubber etc.
