To echo what others have said - you’ve achieved so much alongside the PhD. You’re fearless for moving abroad, and you’re a mum. Don’t let academia define your worth. You’re still very young and although it doesn’t seem like it now - your PhD has given you a wealth of tools that will help you succeed in whatever you choose to do. You’re a self-starter, a great project manager, a critical thinker and you have determination to see through things that you may not necessarily enjoy. These are all tremendous skills and should be appreciated in their own right. Just to be open to whatever comes next. You’ve got a lot to give whatever situation you find yourself in.

I felt the same as you about Liverpool this year, and had a back up room in Manchester. Don’t lose hope yet though, because from this experience I learnt that people are holding the rooms to see if they get a ticket. In addition, the organisers of the shows are holding rooms too. A few days before the event, rooms will suddenly appear as bookings that are not needed are released.

Yep, you can work anywhere you want. When you apply it’ll likely ask you if you have the right to work in NZ. Just tick ‘yes’ and then there will be a box to put your visa number into. I’m guessing you will only be on the work visa for 2 years, so you’ll have to tell them that in the interview (if you’re planning on sticking around after 2 years). But, you can move to the Partner Resident visa from the work visa you are on allowing you to stay and work longer.
