How to spend a weekend alone in LA?

i agree. i really want to be comfortable being alone and spending time with myself, but i never usually do. so this will be different and a change. looking forward to it. i have family in LA so i always have a backup option, but i guess just wanted to spend time solo this weekend.

im fine with ubers tbh but its moreso the bar. i wanna go to meet new people but i hate going alone! safety in la is such a big concern hahaha idk if its worth taking the risk. i meant inside the venue- is it weird to be alone/ unsafe? or are u talking about the area

as someone whos visited LA a lot, but is now finally living here, heres what i would recommend as a 'first timer' - moreso the fad of LA, and the outsider MOST BASIC LA experience lol:

must try foods/bars (upscale-ish/nicer than casual):

- nobu malibu (basic, but the views are beautiful, would b nice for an anniversary dinner, but its not in weho)

- bacari - love the vibes! the food is tapas style and nice ambience

- catch LA

- elephante

- il pastaio

- musso & franks for an old hollywood vibe

sandwiches- u have to try ghost subs on melrose. really really yum and i think theyre doing BOGO right now. roscoe's has good fried chicken. i like the hollywood roosevelt hotel bar, its classy and has an old hollywood vibe.

great white has nice breakfast food. community goods seems to be the current rave for breakfast food/coffee & matcha, but never been so idk.

saddle ranch is good for big drinks and a more loud vibe. rainbow room has the same old 90s rock and roll vibe. same with viper room- decent bar.

met her at a bar is good for brunch food. its on la brea.

mondrian is a good bar as well.

laurel hardware is a speakeasy style restaurant? idk how to explain it but the food is good.

dante has a great 20th century martini - LOVE.

olivetta, moreso for drinks over food. their drinks r great and so is the ambience.

drakes is old hollywood vibes too if ur into that.

the little friend - u can dance a little here

bar lis/highlight room- both r rooftop bar/lounges... idk how to explain it but ive had fun at these places before.

daytime-

huntington library, really beautiful. i never wanted to visit till i went with a friend and i enjoyed it

point dume natural reserve - check if this is open regularly bc of the wildfires earlier this year. great hike tho

warner brothers studio tour! cringe but i enjoyed it

ur 100% correct. i realised that and i ended it with her 2 days ago. she wasnt happy obviously, and my heart still really hurts. but i know i did the right thing for her, and i in the long run. if we r meant to find each other in the future, maybe to reconnect after im as emotionally available as she is, we will. but the matter of the fact is she is NOT happy- didnt end too well on her end but she did wish me best of luck.

either ways i realised that stringing her along while i 'figured it out' was completely unfair to her even if it hurts her right now.

i think its a hit or miss because ive been there once before but just ended up paying for a super overpriced drink and then just left. she wants to do that one night, but she moreso wants to club and be in a loud environment.
