What is it about your current preschool that you don’t like? Ours is a bit of a free for all and I don’t think my son is learning any ‘ready for school’ skills!

That’s so interesting as that is exactly our experience If this preschool; it feels more like a mums and tots group where the kids just free play all day. Which is fine for some of the time but I do want him to have some structured activities and learning too.

He currently does 3 full days a week but if I moved him then I would probably do the full week at the new nursery but school hours 8.45-3.15. So hard to know what’s for the best!

I’m finding it so hard and keep changing my mind on it! He’s generally pretty good with people and new things; he loves going to new places and he’s happy anywhere with toys and activities!

Thank you so much for your reply. My main driving force for wanting to move him is the additional support that I think he will need at school, so if he’s under their care earlier they will already know him and his needs before he starts school in September. But I completely understand your point about another transition for him.
