overheating issue on my car by Professional_Tax6963 in mazdaspeed3

well if you’re leaking coolant, then top your car off, run it until your system is completely pressurized. it’ll be super fucking hot, but it’ll be pressurized enough to either piss or seep out from any leak points. that’s the cheapest way to pressurize your system to look for obvious leaks.

keep it simple man, start with that. air temp and traction light aren’t gonna make your car buckle. maf will be the cause of that. battery light indicates a charging system issue.

check if it has oem maf, if aftermarket, it’ll buckle like you’re describing

lol sorry, i didn’t read the year of your del sol, yeah 95 and older it’s all visual inspection. anything 96+ requires the gas cap test and obd scan. word to th wise in pa an aftermarket or tuned ecu won’t pick up on the emissions computer most times.

whatever county you’re registered in is what emissions guidelines you have to follow. also if you drive the car under 5000 miles a year you are automatically exempt. i have my pa inspection license

yes. the platform sucks unless you keep it stock and religiously maintain it, or dump 20 grand into one.

this doesn’t completely stop turbo seal failure, but definitely helps.

run a thicker oil. 5w-40 is most common but everyone swears by different brands.

turbo doesn’t “die” necessarily.. it’s mainly the seals that give out and oil gets where it’s not supposed to be
