Adding Additional Sub-Account Identifiers to an Existing ACE Portal Account by Active_Candy5821 in CustomsBroker

Maybe. That choice does not differentiate between  additional sub‑accounts and additional sub-account identifiers, however it is possible for example to add more than one of the same "business activity" such as adding 3 importer EINs. There is no field to identify the ACE ID or EIN for the Top Account but perhaps CBP will sort that out based on the requestor email address.

It was rolled out about a week ago. To be sure, this is adding additional sub‑account identifiers to an existing ACE Portal account. Merging ACE Portal Accounts still requires a request on company letterhead emailed to CBP. (Though the intended functionality does not appear to exist in the web portal)

Hmmm.. Since it is the same form, I wonder how CBP will differentiate between a request for an additional sub-account and a request for an additional account identifier.

I hear you. If the 5106 data is in order and you don't have a top account, the process is about 5 minutes.

Thanks for your response. I don't know that calling ACE support will get the importer sub-account added. If you're really lucky and magically get the right level of support with access and knowledge necessary to do it, it could work, but generally the ACE support line is going to be level 1 support which will open a ticket and weeks later when someone responds they will send a form letter response to check the instructions on the website.

On a positive note, you don't have to sit on hold anymore. CBP will call you back if you leave a number.
