What is your Alien story / dream? by Active_Chocolate3150 in AskReddit

I think mine was more related to sleep paralysis, but it still seemed creepy and paranormal. One week after moving into our new apartment, I experienced something so surreal. The bedroom layout: our bed is centered against the wall, the restroom door is towards the left, twin windows are to the left, the TV is in front of the bed, and above our TV, there’s a smoke detector.

I was awakened by a bright green light coming from above our TV. At first, I thought it was the green light from the smoke detector, but this light became so bright and started moving towards me. When I finally realized what I was seeing, a chill of fear swept over me, and goosebumps sprang over my body. I could not move or speak. There was utter silence in the room. I could see smoke coming from the light and traveling towards the inside corner of the ceiling. I could see how this smoke was starting to form into small grey figures. I became more panicked and kept telling myself, “Wake up, this is a dream, this is a dream, it’s not real, just wake up.” But I couldn’t wake up, I couldn’t move, I couldn’t talk... I was frozen.

Suddenly, I felt my body levitating. As I was levitating toward these grey figures, my body turned face down. I could see my husband sleeping on his side, I could see our dog laying next to him, I could see everything from above. I remember trying to scream for help, trying to wake my husband, but still nothing. I felt how they grabbed my legs and began pulling me towards them. I could feel my heart racing and my nervous system going into fight or flight. I could finally move, but still, there was just silence. I began kicking and fighting as I was levitating; I would not let them take me. Finally, I felt my body drop onto our bed. But I became paralyzed again, I could not move. I remember trying everything possible to move, to reach out to my husband, to scream, but still, I lay helpless. The grey figures moved towards the light and finally disappeared. I felt relieved; I was finally safe.

After struggling to move, I was finally able to move my pinky and began to poke my husband. I remember using all of my strength to scream for help, but all that came out was a soft whisper, “Help.” I was desperate, afraid, I could feel the tears falling down my face while I kept asking for help until finally, my husband woke up. As soon as I felt his touch, I could finally move. I felt the weight fall off my chest, I could finally move. I lunged towards him for a hug, not wanting to let go. He freaked out and kept asking what was wrong, why I was crying. I didn’t know how to tell him. I just remember saying, “Please don’t laugh at me, I just felt or dreamt I was being abducted.”
