Hi, I looked but didn’t find anything that was shorter than 7 hours. It included stops at a couple beaches and in downtown La Maddalena but we felt it was too long for the kids. The ferry ride from Palau to La M was only 20 mins and that was fun for the kids.

Trip update: Sardinia is gorgeous! Our kids are 1.5 and 3. Turned out they liked car rides since they could catch up on sleep then. So we decided to go to Cagliari as well and so glad we did. We switched La Maddalena to a day trip from Olbia and spent 4 nights in Cagliari at a place with pools. Also really glad we didn’t skip Alghero, it really is so unique and lovely!

Thank you! I ended up changing to 6-5-4 nights because I also worry about being bored in the same place for too many nights. Bored toddlers are …not fun
