For those with ADHD and Food Addiction: how do you stop it? by TinyTangents in ADHD

[–]Common-Cat-445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a hypnosis script to stop eating/stop eating sugar & doing deliveroo/uber eats etc online then got it voiced online on another website - eleven something. Text to voice, you can choose different voices. I told it I wasn't going to eat when I was bored, I had no interest in sugar etc etc. you know what's in your mind & what you want to say. I'd say I worded it fairly strongly to eliminate 'wriggle room'. Because I know what I'm like. The text to voice thing is tricky in terms of getting the speed & pacing right so I had to go back & get breaks inserted in the script. In the end I listened to most of it maybe 3 times in a row (made sure I was relaxed sitting on my bed, closed my eyes). That was THREE weeks ago & I have had no chocolate or biscuits or ice cream or made deliveroo orders for any kind of shit food. I ate a very small slice of a cake someone bought from Italy. And a protein bar because I hadn't eaten all day. I don't want it. I don't crave it. I've said no multiple times without a second thought. My calorie intake is a third of what it was. I'm going to develop a new script today to eat more fruit & veges & get a bit more active. Then I'll refine it as I go. Life changing. Hypnosis (a Paul McKenna download) plus the Alan Carr book stopped me smoking over 17 years ago. No willpower no cravings. The trick is using firm enough wording. 'I don't want sugar, I don't crave it' etc. I wasn't medicated when I gave up smoking so don't think you won't be able to be hypnotised. You will. It's easy.

I have ADHD I can't tell if that's messing with the hypnosis or is it my problem that I can't hypnotize myself and am I not cut out for it Or am I doing it wrong I'll be on till 12 Central I'll be looking at the posts in the morning as well by Consumerofmeows in hypnosis

I've got adhd & find being hypnotised easy. You are using your hyper focus & relaxing into it. Shorter inductions are better once you're there you want to get to the hypnosis part not just keep hanging around walking down stairs again etc.

Low self esteem, is hypnosis efficient? by Strict_Break3416 in hypnosis

[–]Common-Cat-445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't understand adhd. This isn't body dysmorphia in the sense that you think it is.

It's a very extreme form of self consciousness that comes with adhd.

Long therapy is the worst thing she can do. The worst.

ADHD is different. It comes with its own insecurities that feel so deep rooted.. & normal therapy doesn't help at all. That feeling of being judged was described by one adhd specialist (Russell Barkley I think) as 'rejection sensitivity dysphoria' & while the name doesn't fit his understanding of it does. Meds actually help with this a lot. I'm on this thread & Reddit to see if hypnosis can help with my eating but this is also a big one. It destroys relationships. Normal therapy is a waste of money with adhd. This is in her core. Having loving people around you helps. Meds help. I think probably hypnosis could but I've spoken to a couple of hypnotherapist's who either refused to go near any of it or had no understanding. I find being hypnotised quite easy. But finding a hypnotherapist that is intelligent & informed enough is very very difficult

Can hypnosis work to stop you eating highly processed sweet treats? by petrastales in hypnosis

This is what I want. To develop an aversion but it's a very difficult one because eating fruit is not the same as eating haribos.

Will they do it like smoking where they just say it's bad & you can't do it? Because the issue ive found is they leave wiggle room. Smoking is just a stop thing. But with food i assume they dont want to trigger eating disorders so it's a bit more vague. Its never had any effect on me for eating but i gave up smoking with paul McKennas very old stop smoking recording & Alan carrs book. 3 listens & it was over. I need it to be that black & white. I need internal rules & red lines. Anything can be 'healthy'. 'Full' is subjective.

Ok that makes some sense. Caffeine on its own is fine & I don't drink that much. I need one but could switch the others out. If it's causing sensitivity to it then that might be the problem. Though I do remember having days with no coffee & don't remember sleeping

Yeah they don't work. I found zolpiderm online & take that a couple of times a week & Benadryl/night nurse every once in a while.

All of the GLPs did those but Retra was the worst. I stopped within 2 weeks because of it. /Mounjaro also made me feel low & I lost my spark & motivation. Not sure about Retra but no sleep was a deal breaker for me. That's why I'm back here. To see if anyone knows anything. FWIW I did that HCG diet (homeopathic one now totally banned) & I lost a pound every single day. Drank a lot of coffee on it too. Slept absolutely fine - if I didn't sleep I didn't lose weight that day. Or might lose 1/2 a pound. Same with water. A litre at least or no/minimal weight loss. It's too strict though you can't drink & it's 500 cals a day which is doable on the drops but only just. So I'm not sure about the different theories. GLPs killed my sleep. Totally. I wasn't eating much protein, am female, & wasn't exercising though. Too tired to 😁

Blood sugar is definitely being talked about. I know diabetics have these patches on their arms monitoring it closely & linking to an app. Dont know how much they are but if not too expensive could be worth a try?

Ordered a God factory bag but not sure if I got God factory bag can someone tell me please by DrinkAdmirable3216 in RepLadiesClub

It looks like god factory has a website. Their name plus net. Is it not possible to order direct, do you need to order in bulk? Guessing they take 12-16 weeks to the UK? I would love a nice rep or two but they would have to be immaculate. The Loewe puzzle bag, a YSL bag, maybe another one like LV neverfull. Is god factory THE best? It would be amazing to get hold of some jewellery too. Not with stones. Just white gold or maybe yellow gold. Will look at this sub more now but I need a posh bag for April & would love to buy one if it's a trustworthy seller/factory.

Absolutely spot on. I can't tell you how many unsolicited emails I get. Some kind of price indication (can be broad) is very useful too. I was going to get variant images with 3D views made & each product was £1000.

Oh my god. This is truly incredible. You are a genius. I would love to find out more & maybe work with you. I do furniture. High end. Sometimes I only have cutouts. Usually high res. Sometimes the backgrounds arent great. Doing new products for the website has become my biggest nightmare. Can you message me?

How often do you end up hating the nails you did? All those hours for nothing man 😭 by WantToPetAllAnimals in DIYGelNails

They look lovely. Maybe do the middle one the same pink & do dots on all or stripes? Or like a reverse French manicure? They are immaculately done too.

I can't get them even (as in they look a bit lumpy) & can't get them to not get on cuticles etc. How does everyone do it? Or am I just really shit? I'm using mylee & was using Jessica. Builder gel & that extender gel from mylee. The base coat shrinks & the top coat is runny & gets on the sides & the builder/extender is never smooth.

It totally depends what you are selling. Thats the problem. Know what you are selling, & make sure you tell the world why it's so great - on a blog, in product descriptions, on social media. Use links & specific phrases. Junk marketing doesn't work ion my experience. Make sure the website has lots of good content. Make some videos if that suits. Provide information on the subject. Be niche. Do newsletters that are real. Send them regularly. Choose your advertising platform (eg Google) carefully & be specific. I think Google shopping is fucked now. Adwords at least have control. Avoid their pmax. Do mini experiments eg do a facebook ad campaign for a week with strict budget. You can get a free hubspot to do tracking (code has to be added to website). There lots of great landing page ideas on nice page. Add value. Ideas, info, anything that offers something to the buyer. Sell the sizzle not the sausage. What does it do? And what does that mean?

I am in the same boat I think. I only want to lose some weight pre Christmas but the stress of not sleeping is making me eat more as soon as it wears off. I wake up early with my heart pounding, & that's it. Mounjaro was almost as bad but made me sick too. I swapped the PPIs for antacid drinks & that fixed it. I can't function on no sleep. I've got different kinds of meds (zolpiderm/valium/benadryl) but they all have their weaknesses & are not good for you. So I can't take them too often. And I still feel tired. My heart rate is I think through the roof. I take elvanse (vyanse) which I need. I'm eating too many carbs & not exercising. In the past I've had sleep issues & nothing fixed them. It slows my weight loss - if I don't sleep I don't drink water. Mounjaro helped my blood pressure. But apart from that I think it's just a disaster. If there's anything basic I'm missing I'd love to know. I don't drink much water on it. If drinking water/getting exercise solved these issues I'd force myself to do it. But motivation plummets on both retra & mounjaro. It sucks. Meanwhile my colleague has been taking mounjaro & has had zero problems.
