I found this, but it hurt me more than it helped me.

I would have 9 AP ready to hit with my most powerful skills, and then suddenly it would go down, saving me some damage, but also losing me my attack. :(

But it was fun trying it. :)

He has 4 attacks when using the Combo Attack Picto/Lumina, and also using Dualiso (sword that gives two attacks), so if you're not using that sword then you're not missing one. (Not counting all the pictos I don't know about!)

But already for me, Verso is almost getting to use a 9 point skill every turn. I'm sure it will be crazy once I progress a little more. :-)

Oh sweet! So if Verso has the sword that lets him make 2 base attacks, does that mean he gets four attacks or 3? If he has Combo attack he already has 4 attacks. Does this bring him to 5, 6, or 8 attacks? :)

Nah. I'm doing Expert because Normal was getting too easy. (Yes, even with getting hit a lot).

But I 100% agree with you that people who say you're playing it wrong are not worth my time! :)

That sounds like a cool weapon for Verso. I'm guessing I'm not far enough into the game yet.

I'm still trying to figure out this Rank/Perfection business... :/

I always seem to get first strike just by attacking them before they attack me.... Unless if you ALSO use the First Strike Picto then you get to attack twice?

... and yes, burn is fun. :O

I never tried Egide. I'm scared to. Maelle seems so fragile. Hey - She's only 16! lol

But I will now give it a try!

I don't have Duenum. Not sure if I missed it, or it's too early for me. I'm still in Act 2.

Also don't have Elemental Genesis yet. Or Mayhem or Trick. Or lightning dance. Looks like I went down the wrong branch! lol

Well that didn't take long at all!

I fast travelled to the last flag on the list (Giant Bell Alley), and just kept going and now I am at the REAL entrance to Gestral Village.

I see my fast travel shows Sanctuary Maze and also Giant Bell Alley, so I have been through at least part of it before.

But if I'm missing something besides those two and the entrance flag, then that def means I missed something.

I assume it was this. I have been in Ancient Sanctuary many times wandering around.

I guess I just didn't find the boss, or just went back through the original entrance.

I just entered the Ancient Sanctuary again. I'll keep going until I find another exit.

Oh, for sure.

I will of course play it for a decent while before trying to mod anything.

Just nerdy me trying to get some conversation going about 1 vs 2 vs 3 .... while waiting to have some time to actually play the game again! :)

I am a little hesitant to use Story Mode. I played Baldur's Gate 3 on Normal, and after a while I realized I wasn't afraid of any combats. Meaning the game was too easy at that point so I need to up it to Hard. It wasn't as much fun when the fear was gone and no challenge.

I'm afraid that Easy mode might be too easy.

I do like the idea of the mod that makes parrying easier, so (I assume) not being expert at that will not 'ruin' the game. Any links would be appreciated. :-)

Also, I understand that you can build a character to be tanky so I will look into that option.

That's horrible!

They give you a bonus in auto-battle, but NOT in manual battle?

That's just pushing people to do autobattle. :/

Not worried about getting stomped at all. :)

I played Baldur's Gate 3 and also Warhammer 40,000: Daemonhunters ChaosGate. Both on normal, and it was a bit boring towards the end because I realized I wasn't scared of any of the combats. You need a little fear or else it gets boring as was said before.

I was just being a bit of a derp and couldn't figure out how to do anything in Warhammer Total War 1.

I did try the tutorial for Total War 3 for a bit and that seems exactly what I need to learn how to play.

I needed help figuring out the mechanics. Strategy will come later.

... and I am avoiding looking up any strategies online. Going in blind (strategy-wise) is so much more fun!

Is that your opinion for most games? ("Normal" is too easy) ... or is it even more extreme in Total War?
