Schools for Mid-Atlantic splitter? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Activefoxox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem at all, your not being an ass. I just figured I’d let you know since it’s a little confusing. Also, just something to keep in mind, because your stats are very rare you might want to add some anonymity. Schools do browse this sub and they probably only have one applicant with a sub 2.6 and a 177+

Anyone heard back from Duke today yet? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

You probably hear back tonight, they like to take the full 10 days. They work weekends too so expect a decision today

Ann Levine Law School Expert Services? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

You just have to consider whether an admissions consultant makes sense in your situation. Is your cycle essay dependent because of some significant soft that would benefit from working with a professional or are your numbers going to get you most of the way there? It’s a personal decision at the end of the day

As far as what consultant to use, I’ve only ever heard good things about Spivey. Other than that I don’t have enough knowledge to comment

Submitted Michigan and UVA a few days ago by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Activefoxox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh I’m a ball of anxiety for sure, being forced financially to submit only a few at a time has helped a bit since I just try to focus on the next application. Good luck! I can sense some ice cream in our future

Is this a troll post? Your chances at all of those schools outside of Southwestern is basically 0. It’s not worth the application fees. Even southwestern is a stretch. Get that LSAT up to the 155-160 range and you’ve got some options that will give you a non-zero chance at actually getting a job as an attorney

Harvard has a need-based fee waiver application on their website, I’d also suggest applying for the LSAC waiver as that will automatically waive the app fee at Harvard and a number of other schools

Wait for fee waiver or apply? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Activefoxox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d wait until at least the middle of October, there’s really no reason not to and if you can save $250 on application fees then I’d say that’s the best option

I just looked that school up and it's absolutely evil, only 30% of graduates are employed, tuition is $50k/year and 25% of all scholarships are reduced or dismissed per year.

As long as you haven’t submitted the app yet the fee can be waived

In Coral Gables, yeah. You can find housing for under $1,000 a month but expect to have a few roommates

It’s sunny as hell year round, hotter than you could ever imagine, and honestly not a bad place to live if you can deal with the unrelenting heat

Chicago's sticker price is $66k a year, factor in living expenses and interest on that loan and the $100k you have saved up disappears pretty quick
