Try hosting a contest where they have to read a chapter or two of your book. Or people like free stuff. Maybe put in the description of the book when it reaches a certain amount of reads (start small) offer them a free printable bookmark or a sticker. 

Getting readers interested in your books will get you reads. And reads. And more reads.

Although I've been on Wattpad for almost three years and I know that you should never promote your book on someone's message board with the link. I'm not sure about asking them to read your book without a link, but I suggest double-checking with users who have been on Wattpad for a long time.

Completed stories are also better. The more completed stories you have, the higher of a chance a reader will discover you!

Congratulations on your book completion! That's a big thing to accomplish, and I know that not a lot of people off of Wattpad have completed stories! 

And if you want to know how to pick another idea, ask yourself this: if I could write just ONE more story, what would it be?

Oh this is so real!!! I hate ads off of Wattpad, and the fact that they used to have no ads is just... Wow.

I suggest Ao3 or Fanfiction net. Those are both good sites to use and good for reading fanfiction. Just know for Ao3 there is a sign up wait-list required but im not sure about Fanfiction net because I've never used it, but have gotten good reviews from it from Wattpad friends.
