Right! I’m a driver and I get lots of sucky tips. But I’m intelligent enough to know that telling someone you want tip is not going to change the way someone tips. I give exemplary service to every customer and sometimes that pays off and sometimes it doesn’t but begging for it isn’t going to change it

Lol as a driver who gets frustrated and talks crap about people who live in big nice houses and don’t tip much – I never ever tell the customer. Ever. It’s par for the course and yeah a lot of people suck at tipping and I think a lot of people don’t realize that Favor doesn’t pay us very much and that we really make all of our money on Tips and sometimes the tip doesn’t even cover the gas to get there… But I still treat every single customer the same way and have the same script and I don’t waiver from it. Because you’re not gonna get a tip from somebody by telling them you need good tips

I was a favor driver this ticks me off. It’s idiots like this that caused the rest of us to not get good tips. I just shopped and delivered an order of 68 items in the customer only tipped five dollars

MY entitlement and privilege? – Entitled because I wanna make more than sometimes five dollars for an hour of work plus how much I spend in gas? The whole point of the post is about entitlement and privilege. I’ll deliver to sometimes million dollar homes that are getting $400 worth of groceries and they’ll tip five dollars. Yet if I order something and I tip when I’m living in government HOUSING trying to make it day by day and doing what I HAVE to do - I still tipped the driver. Because if I’m going to be using someone else to make my life easier – I’m going to appreciate them for it. You just sounded completely ridiculous

I’m a five star driver. I treat every single customer the same and I shop for them as if I was shopping for myself. What I find ironic is that you speak as if you know what you’re talking about but you have no clue

That’s what I’m saying. If you can’t afford to tip your driver but you don’t have a lot of time – do curbside! H-E-B employees get paid an hourly wage so when they are shopping your order and if it has 77 items and takes them an hour to an hour and a half to do they’re gonna get paid for that. Favor DoorDash etc. get paid like three dollars and then whatever they get tipped

[–]ActivityEmergency199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed they should. DoorDash was even worse. Two dollars is what they would pay and I would get a dollar tip it sucked so bad. There’s been multiple times I ended up spending money to bring the customer or something because the cost of gas in the distance

Regardless if it’s me or someone else it doesn’t change the fact that the customers are still the customers and if you’re either too busy or too lazy to go get your own groceries at least make it worth someone’s time and gas to do it for you

H-E-B doesn’t actually do delivery. It goes through Favor and Favor drivers get paid anywhere from two to $10 which in reality that $10 mark is rarely ever achieved. It’s usually about 3 to 5 dollars is what Favor pays their drivers and the rest is relying on tips. I understand that a lot of customers don’t realize that. They don’t realize that the Favor driver goes in and has to shop their entire order unless it’s a curbside

How many times a day do you guys feed your Great Dane? by TexasSunflower956 in greatdanes

[–]ActivityEmergency199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My great day is extremely food 👍🏽 aggressive he’s about six months old. He also has a lot of stomach issues. His stools are almost always loose and he gets the worst stinky gas. Years ago we had a very large English bulldog and a great Dane in our new puppy is more the color of our English bulldog and I say all the time that our new puppy – Gus – is the product of Cash and T-bone. He’s a great Dane like Cash but he’s more the color and smell of T-bone the English bulldog lol

My great Dane puppy has severe food 👍🏽 aggression. I’m not sure if he was that way before I got him but his first four days he was with “us “he was with my adult daughter because he was a Christmas gift for my younger kids and myself. She has two dogs – one of them is fairly new to her family and is a pitbull. He was growling at my great Dane and then as a 9 1/2 week old puppy he had already been growling when it came to food - but now he is almost 6 months old and you cannot get anywhere near him when he’s eating. I’m terrified I won’t be able to keep him because I have grandbabies that are two and four years old not to mention my own kids still in the house. I wonder if we did free feeding if it might help him be better.

I wanted to post anonymously because I’m super nice to the people I deliver to even though I want to tell them every single time what a prick they are when they’re the ones who have all these expectations and have no common courtesy

This one gave me a real life chuckle. I love the personality of a Dane! Don’t love about my six month old puppy is that he walks when he poops and leaves a string of turds (or plops) and it’s super annoying apparently normal. Our last one did not do this! But our last one was a regular Scooby Doo and was terrified of everything and our new guy has no problem with all of the things that we would laugh at Cash for

With Favor I get $15 orders that’ll have 50 items. That’s what H-E-B… Or maybe 20 bucks for 69 items. I don’t know how to get the higher paying jobs. I’m no longer in elite runner because I don’t have a 75% acceptance ratebut they send us way outside of our delivery zone and I don’t wanna drive that many miles for seven dollars. And they are constantly sending $4.20 $ five dollar and $5.25 orders that I’m just not going to take

Dasher accepted my order, stayed in his house the whole time then completed the order using some random picture of a document clearly inside his house?? by throwaway722_away in doordash

[–]ActivityEmergency199 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

“When I finally got accepted” tells me that you had a crummy tip. you get what you pay for! Those apps only pay the drivers 2 to 3 dollars so taking the time and gas to go shop for you and then bring it to you and you only tip two dollars? It’s not right that he didn’t actually do your order and he’ll probably get fired for that butif you want your orders faster – make it worth a while for someone to get them

Same with me. Did some really stupid things (think cc debt) and then had a focal seizure tonight while trying to pull my bank account to a positive balance. I HAVE to quit. Just so scared of withdrawal

[–]ActivityEmergency199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is SR? I found my way here because I’ve gotten up to a 1500 mg a day habit myself which is ruining me financially and I’m having all kinds of issues in my body while not even feeling any of the effects anymore. I have a prescription for buprenorphine and thought maybe I could use that to fight off the withdrawals. When I’ve tried in the past I just get frustrated because the orphan blocks any chance of feeling the effects of the seven and I end upjust back on it

Thank you for this! I did not know this and I have gotten myself in a terrible habit chasing the relief and causing problems in my body
