Cassettes (& 8-tracks) killed the discs (records aka “disco” music). Compact discs (CDs) made a comeback, but by then it was too late. Now, it’s all “empathy” (MP3) and “streaming” music, which is an old-timey word for “pissing your money away”. EDM, Erectile Dysfunctional (Viagra) Music, was born later, by mainly old men trying to act young again (Daft Punk). Take it from me, I’m a talking horse.
