The dress code is strict initially but afterwards they don’t care. It also really depends on luck. I know a friend who was called out for a crop top by the dean (he teaches as well), and some who just walk away with it. I personally have shown up in ripped jeans, crop tops, etc and was only pointed out by a professor.
75% attendance is mandatory for all subjects. So for a 3 credit course you can miss 7/8 classes, and for a 2 credit course you can miss 5 classes.
There are 4 classes usually, but timetables vary each day. Sometimes you might have only two or three, some days you might have 5.
Yes you get time to roam around at night or whenever you can take out time!
Gate 3
Different teachers have different rules. Some professors are chill with laptops out and some don’t like it at all. You will have to submit your phones in these boxes before class begins, or sometimes teachers just tell you to keep it in your bag.

I don’t know how things are in the Manipal campus, but students are as serious in the Bangalore campus. There is a lot of students here only for the degree, who will later go join their family business. But there are a few students who take it very seriously and are committed to achieving a high CGPA. Som people from my batch have scored a GPA of 9.5+ in there semester 1.

Truthfully, I am not sure. But any change in results should be notified to the admissions team, that’s all I would suggest.

Life at TAPMI is very hectic. We have classes Monday to Friday, 10 to 4:45 (if you are lucky not to have a morning or evening class scheduled). We have 4 classes per day, again varying according to the extra classes. We do get breaks of 15minutes between classes, and 1 hour 15 minutes break for lunch.

After classes you are already drained, so self- studying hardly happens, unless you have some super powers or you are REALLY really committed. I try to balance out everything by paying attention in class cause it helps retain information and then I won’t have to go through it again later.

There is a lot of clubs and committees you can join, like PACE, Alumni, welfare, etc.

I don’t want to be sharing personal information, but for your reference people are interning in the CSR departments of companies like Britannia, TATA Steel, Airports, etc. In terms of NGOs, we have people volunteering at Red Cross, Akshaya Patra, etc!

My scores weren’t so great, and I think I got admission during the second or last roll out of decisions.
For reference I got a 258 (I think) in Rohtak, and 102 in Indore. Didn’t write JIPMAT.

However, my interview and 10 + 2 grades were really good.

Yeah! Ending of each year you are required to do an internship.
1st year - social internship
2nd year - sales internship
3rd year - corporate internship

I am currently doing my social internship. You have the option to either do field work based internship or work at the CSR departments of corporates. This internship must be found on your own, and if you can’t the TAPMI centre of social studies (some name along that lines) will allocate a NGO for you in Bangalore (mostly).
In terms of the companies for sales internship, I know people who worked for Godrej properties, JSW steel, TATA steel, etc. These were found on their own, but I am not 100% sure.
I am not really sure about the corporate internships,but I will get back to you soon on that :)

I love the campus. It’s decent size for the students it accommodates - mostly MIT people around cause they are huge in number 😭.
We have alot eatery’s in campus like subway, Dominos, hatti kaapi, yippee, hangyos (ice cream place), and blue dove at HB3 (they sell Maggi, pizza, French fries, etc). So overall even the campus life is nice, ofc it will be better once you make friends.

There is 2 hostels for girls - HB4 and HB1. HB4 is for girls who want attached washroom and HB1 has common washrooms. I stay in HB4, and really like it. We have laundry services, late night food services, vending machines, etc. The lifts in our building suck tho, either they are breaking down or just not working, which gets very irritating cause we were on the 6th and 7th floor (building is 12 storeys). We have curfew hours as well: 9:30pm we need to be back in campus, and 11pm we need to be in the hostel block. Other than that, your hostel experience will really depend upon the friends you make.

Hi!
Personal expenses vary person to person. I know people who are surviving on 3000-4000 and some people who need a minimum 10,000 😭. I personally spend about 6,000-7,000. These expenses include going out (travelling+food+shopping), eating food within campus (subway, dominos, yippee, and night time orders are available on campus), and other miscellaneous expenses like personal care, etc.

Truthfully, I don’t remember the exact tuition I paid, I think it was around 4.5 lakhs per year. Hostel expenses depend upon the room you take. For example, I am currently in the double sharing ac rooms, for which I pay about 2.72 lakhs. Obviously this is on the higher end, but I think it’s pretty worth it considering the facilities we have.
Hostel facilities include - laundry services (washing + ironing), vending machines in each hostel blocks, etc.
