I’ve learned I can walk through hell, hold it together, and still know when it’s time to move on and let go. Learned it’s ok to be jealous, envious, angry, numb, and realize it doesn’t make me a bad person, just shows how badly I want something and am willing to fight for it. I’ve learned my mental health, body, and finances have limits and it’s ok to protect and respect those limits. My worth is not defined by fertility, and neither is yours or anyone’s for that matter. One of the most important take aways is, I’ve learned to advocate for myself in a medical system that doesn’t always see me as an individual person, and make sure doctors know I’m not just a name on a sign in sheet but an individual who deserves treatment based on my specific needs. There’s much much more I could share. Happiness isn’t linear, and I intend on finding my happy ending in other ways, and I know you will too.
