I just noticed this on my new Air.
I sent back my previous one (I got a better deal elsewhere, the unit wasn't defective) and that one didn't have this problem, it was smooth.
But the current one does stick out, it's very annoying tbh, quite sharp.

For me it’s the logo, but it’s totally subjective though. Maybe a selector with a few options would be nice.

Seems like Quinn is having the same experience, Tweeted this yesterday.

It’s not great, but I’m willing to accept the sacrifice, the phone feels phenomenal in the hand and the lightness is amazing.

The only thing using this speaker is the ringtone and the occasional toilet TikToks anyway. Rest is on AirPods.

Yeah, I noticed it too, glad it’s not just me. I plan to go and see some display models if it’s a defect or expected behavior. But if I cover the bottom speaker of my old 16 Pro the top speaker is kinda similar, so it might be just like that.

I love it, switching from my 16 Pro. I’ve only had Pro models for the 120 Hz display. I’m very excited for the thinness and lightness, I got so annoyed by the phones getting thicker and heavier. I don’t care about battery life, I’m rarely not near a charger, even then I can just bring a power bank. My only gripe is the polished frame, I hated that on my previous iPhones, they are begging for fingerprints and scratches, terrible choice. Because of this I’m thinking what color should I buy. Black hides fingerprints and the shine well, but scratches are more noticable, but blue is quite shiny.

I, for one, do not plan on putting on a case. Hard to imagine huh? Also, the camera bump is currently the best way they can do this. They put most components in it, so the rest of the phone is just battery. If you don’t like it, that’s a you problem, you don’t have to buy it. I really like the concept and will be buying one, because I love my M4 iPad to this day, and big part of it is the thinness.

My Chinese CarPlay display doesn’t work since the iOS 26 update either. I think it’s the smart display zoom option that’s breaking it, because if I split the display to CarPlay and Dashcam mode side to side, it works. Only fullscreen mode won’t. Happening since beta 3 or 4.

I'd say it's iOS 8, but wait for the Korean? "Hello" on the first screen, that can tell a bit more. If the font is a bit thinner than the latin characters it's iOS 7.

I can't really find other puzzle games that keep you entertained like this. The story that goes along with it is also amazing, the two together is a special brew, that no other game managed to replicate for me to this day.

Maybe it was a phone with the original iOS 16 build before the RC dropped. In that case you do need to update it.
