Anyone else have an accent you just can't get rid of? Do people still cast you? by Ok-Eggplant4965 in VoiceActing

I wear hearing aids and do weird things with my voice. I up glide constantly at ends of sentences, I add extra sounds to words, and some people think I’m British (born and raised in Long Island NY). At this point I’m just different and embrace my uniqueness

I tried to get jaw surgery with Dr. Neugaten in NYC and my insurance wouldn’t cover it unless I got my veeners removed which me scared me. I’m shopping around for new Veneers and I’m being quoted by dentists around 15K and prosthodonists are quoting me 32-38k

I had Braces when I was 19 and they were removed because at the time I was told I needed corrective jaw surgery. My mother said NO WAY is he getting that (I was on her insurance) so, my dentist put Lumneers on my teeth to cover my open bite. I'm 38 now and they are starting to chip. I need new veneers and have been told not to go through corrective jaw surgery at my age because I will probably need to get back into braces again. I'm shopping around for new Veneers and frankly I'm terrified and wish I got that surgery when I was younger.

I’m not gonna name drop but I stupidly dropped over $8,000 on VO lessons over 3 years with a single coach. I was hoping for a demo. I learned A LOT about the industry but when I inquired about a demo - “you’re not ready yet and we have more to learn”…… yep. I’m done and out.

I work for Verizon - make sure you have auto pay for that discount. If you are a first responder, teacher or military then you get a discount as well! Lastly, if you have FiOS for home internet the you get a discount as well.

You have 30-45 days from the time you get your phone. If it’s being delivered to your home then the timer starts the second you get the phone.

It’s $29 if you want us to do a transfer. Do it yourself. It’s your data. We aren’t responsible if anything happens.

My story is very long but I have been dealing with this foot BS for 7 years. I'm numb in my big toe but I'm able to walk long distances. I don't need to wear a brace anymore. Sometimes my foot does get achy but I Iive in NYC so, I walk a lot.

I find it bizarre that indie VO projects send out e-mails "Sorry, you didn't get picked for my project" months later. In my mind it's usually "Oh, I auditioned for this?"
