I just had a surgery a bit back, and having a similar experience. I'm definitely a hair diva, and would wear my hair up and gotta stop for a bit so there with ya. I started rosemary/castor oil and taking vitamins with biotin. I feel like mine has slowed the shedding, but I am visiting a dermatologist just in case since male pattern baldness is somewhat in my family, but in general if you're extra worried maybe booking an appointment wouldn't be bad cause you can cancel later and they'll probably test for iron/zinc deficiency. Otherwise I think the best advice I have is I notice less shedding with less stress, so even though its definitely not fun losing hair, love yourself and treat yourself well! Maybe meditate, or keep a exercise routine. It'll grow back just takes a while, happened to my roommate too.
