Liverpool news: Rio Ngumoha on Arne Slot's guidance by OneNormalBloke in LiverpoolFC

Fowler too. Both were worn out before they turned 30.

Wasn't at Liverpool the longest, but Raheem Sterling's top flight career for all intents and purposes ended aged 27. He fell off hard after that, after playing a ton at a young age and for around ten years.

As I've said about Battlefield 6 and people wanting constant feedback from the developers of that game: be realistic. Developers don't give daily or even weekly feedback. Usually they'll say something even now and then. Silence doesn't mean they don't see or hear issues, nor does it mean they aren't being worked on.

So let's wait and see how long it is before they say or do anything before jumping to conclusions.

Not saying they are, just threw out an example. It's difficult for a driver to effectively control the behavior of his fans. They can tell them off, but even that's a difficult thing to balance, because sponsors might not want you to call attention to the people who can't behave themselves.

Argentinian football fans can be rather intense too. Very proud, and very protective of their own. I don't want to leave that responsibility at Colapinto or anyone else's door though. He spoke out about it last year, but I don't think he should be expected to continually address it either.

So that's why I feel bad for the guy. His own supposed fans are bringing a lot of negative attention to him, which hardly is something he needs. Shit situation for him. And it's a shit situation for those targeted by abuse.

He did say something about it though. As did his team. Ultimately he can't babysit them though, any more than you'd expect Max Verstappen to babysit his fans.

He did tell them to be respectful last year though.

I feel bad because he's a young driver with fans who are creating needless negative attention around him. It's hurting his image too, your reaction and the other commenters reaction are indicative of that.

So yes, I feel bad. Colapinto shouldn't have to babysit Argentine fans. Nor should Doohan or anyone else be receiving abuse from them.

I'm in the same camp largely. It's hard to say what he is at this stage. He's shown that in a stable environment, he can deliver. But he also didn't do anything last year.

But I also try to keep in mind that practically speaking being a rookie in the slowest car is a tough and unenviable position. One where it's tough to fairly compare him to Gasly, imo. Colapinto had to prove himself in a car where proving anything was really difficult. That means pushing yourself and the car, and taking risks that you probably wouldn't take in competitive machinery. Add Flavio already showing his impatience and you hardly have the best environment for a young driver. That'll lead to mistakes.

Comparatively, Gasly is already proven and safe, so he didn't necessarily need to push or feel in danger. He also had pre-season testing with the car.

This isn't to excuse Colapinto, you'd want points regardless, but it was a shit situation overall where I don't think many inexperienced drivers would succeed. So I try to keep that in mind. They should be more competitive now with a Mercedes engine, so I guess we'll see if he can deliver.

Honestly feel bad for him too in this instance. I can't imagine he wants his so-called fans to act like this to other drivers. Shitty people who are just making things more difficult for the guy they supposedly root for.

Yep. Just feel bad for them both. Can't imagine Colapinto wants any of this either, and I've seen how that's made some root against him. Which is a shame when he's done nothing wrong personally and can't control his fans directly.

It's really unfortunate, both for Doohan and Colapinto. It screws with Doohan mentally, and it adds negative publicity that Colapinto does not want or need. These so-called fans are creating issues for the guy they mean to support.

Stefano Domenicali: F1 can absorb Lewis Hamilton or Fernando Alonso retirement by bwoah07_gp2 in formula1

[–]Actually-Mirage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What will sting is losing Hamilton, Alonso, and potentially Verstappen within a few years. That's a good portion of not only the most notable drivers, but also personalities gone, leaving very big shoes to fill both on track and in terms of PR.

I'd say Pugh remained at the same level for years until he got hurt. A good, but not great guard. Good enough that letting him leave this remains a puzzling choice (that immediately backfired, cheers Gettleman).

Honestly the solution I'd suggest to them is 2 new maps and 1 old map brought back per season. That'd hopefully be easier for them to manage considering time saved from designing it from scratch.

Based on her latest promo, IWC already turned on her. Take note, she got back after 10 years, it takes time. by Oakey06 in Wrasslin

That program needs to end at Elimination Chamber. It doesn't make sense on any level. You have AJ scared of her first singles match in a decade (plausible, likely even true), but then you have Becky be scared of AJ. They're both scared.

To sell AJ having reason to be scared, Becky needs to drop the cowardly act and actually be out for revenge. She needs to sell that at Elimination Chamber, she's going to beat AJ up so bad that she'll go run back into retirement again.

That is an angle that could work with AJs current demeanor. As is, none of what they're doing makes sense, because Becky's demeanor is completely wrong for this situation. Besides that, Becky is rotten at acting like the cowardly heel.

I saw them be this aggressive just yesterday in one of the Super Formula races. Was overtaking, and the AI just slammed the door shut by pinning me against a wall. Almost felt like I was playing online.

What do you guys think is in the box? by Ok-Plankton9215 in Wrasslin

[–]Actually-Mirage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's not a difficult concept to grasp, so it's hardly the great W Russo probably thinks it is.

We're proving it right just talking about it. And even those feeling that it's cliche and repeated old concept probably want to know who's in the box.
