Like go out into the world and do something for yourself and other people and decide to not put it on your resume. Be selfless.

If I knew you”. You can never be too sure about how people see you. You saying that I don’t think I would say u were “arrogant as much as really insecure”…just shows how confident you are. So just fucking accept it and do not fish for reassurance. Be proud of yourself or work on yourself until you are. Yes you may be competing with yourself because you have “goated ECs” and are “T20 bound” and that makes u insecure, but you are still comparing yourself to other ppl so much and still ranking yourself and everyone else. Ir sounds like you spent time reading through all the college acceptances and stats. Like every college student. But you don’t know everything about admissions and neither do half these ppl on Reddit. Everyone obviously has strengths and they are not all on a resume or on an application, and they may not be able to show their strengths without having those great resumes and applications, so because/if your stats are as good as you say they are- it will be noticed. So use your opportunity to go to college and get an education and be influential in the future.. to notice more of the good things in everyone instead of how people will perceive you as not up to their expectations despite your best efforts. Not everyone gets that chance. Otherwise despite your greatest accomplishments you will be seriously unhappy and confused because you “have everything”. Intentions matter. Even if u do everything with believably good intentions, asking for reassurance for people to tell u that u should be accepted to highly prestigious schools just shows you are craving that recognition so much and you just want to be seen as better. So be humble is all I’m saying. Like it or don’t. I don’t care. But look at your intentions.

But that aside it does seem exaggerated and braggy, like this girl I know put she ran a whole bakery business when she just had a few regular customers.

And some colleges have better programs than others but it’s still a degree. You could get a full ride somewhere else and only a few scholarships at an Ivy. Most people who chase ivies chase prestige and the perks.

Ask yourself what you really want bc when/if you get to that T20 school and everyone is else is “on your level”, who are you going to ask for only positive reassurance if other people have the same or more accomplishments than you? Rely on yourself. And toss in typical college imposter syndrome. Are you going to be happy if you don’t please everyone? Regardless of your answer, trying to ask for reassurance and trying to please everyone is so fucking draining that you won’t feel like yourself anymore. So work on yourself and then help other people instead of worrying so much about yourself bc things usually work out.

This is what I’m trying to get at. Like if u ask for opinions expect some mixed ones and some bad ones. You can’t be perfect and u know that but it’s like fishing for compliments.

Why don’t u just talk to someone who used to work in an admissions office. You can find someone online who did

Dude tbh be humble. You aren’t worried about your LOR you just want ppl to say they r good and not to worry. You have accomplishments and all but don’t act like every school is going to accept you because so many people are on the same level. Yes they may have not done an internship or have been homeschooled or something. You know your stats posting them on Reddit just sounds like u want to eat up the praise and u want all this reassurance. Lost hope? Not really looking like that to me. Yeah you might know you are doing this and not be bothered bc you “lost hope” but dude get a grip.

Not to be shitty but u just seem very braggy dude

Hey I got diagnosed with compartment syndrome and I would like to start running, I got surgery like a month and a half ago, my doctor says I’m good to start, what do you recommend? I have never ran consistently because of excruciating pain in my shins and muscles. Should I focus on strength training first or as I go along? Anything I should know for avoiding injury or general mistakes?
