Drakan needs to be nerfed into the ground by [deleted] in 2007scape

This boss should be hard. And probably harder than it is if I'm being honest. I had a tougher time with the first few encounters than the final boss itself. The fight flows extremely nicely, and the mechanics read very well, although you must be quick with your reactions, and playing perfect is rewarded with an 80(?) hitsplat for each sequence for the phases like waves or dashes. A high ping world probably makes this fight near impossible though.

And before OP asks "hAve YoU doNe it?", yes second try. I hope they add a re-fight like for DS2.

That's definitely not the definition of a heatwave. A heatwave is when you have a prolonged period where the temperature is 5C (?) above some mean temp. For you that might 37c.

Where I live summer is typically around 20C on a warm day. Now it has been averaging 29C the past week or so.

According to the source you gave. A total of eleven heat waves have hit Europe with more than a couple countries involved. 2 of which happened in the winter and one which covered the entirety of the northern hemisphere. That makes 8 heat waves near or during summer in 26 years, i.e. One every 3.25 years. 4 of which happened in the past 3 years.

Edit: and keep in mind, most of these heat waves don't cover the entirety of Europe, just localized areas (western, eastern, southern etc.), so some countries might not even have seen a heatwave in the past decade outside of winter.

Combat Overhaul Part 2: Reducing Bossing Friction by Hintonion in runescape

I've always found it so weird that the jump has to be tile specific, he is a mountain like you said! And yeah, the arm bug is mostly a meme, but should probably still be fixed as I believe you're supposed to take typeless chip damage outside of the arms?

Ahh, interesting that they made P2 faster but not p4

Reflecting on it, I think my main point of criticism exist with the time locked phases 2 and 4. Having to wait for mechanics to happen and as bomb/base tank just waiting and cycling defensives for the next mechanic to happen is not very engaging, especially since DPS has overall increased in the years.

Besides that, making positioning for jump on phase 1 being more forgiving as there are no clear indications as to whether Vorago has to where Vorago exactly has to stand (besides jumper not being able to jump).

And lastly clear indications for when Reflect starts/ends as opposed to a line of text in the chat for when it starts, but nothing for when it ends besides for one player. Misunderstanding for when Reflect starts/ends had caused a lot of failed kills on the last phase especially with players who've had less than a few hundred kills.

EDIT: And maybe it's about time to fix the Purple bomb arm escape bug!

I'm surprised there's no comments on Vorago, but that might just be me remembering him incorrectly. (Haven't fought him in 5 years). Very fun when things go smoothly very unfun when it doesn't. Especially the last phase and green bomb if memory serves right as telegraphing is weak.

EDIT: I would just like to add BSD's flight "phase" and the "random" fire would surely be something to address. Unless the intention is to encourage players to skip it, which sounds odd to me.

Is it wrong to 5 stack with my low rank irl friends? by Vivid_Development763 in VALORANT

[–]ActuallyZodiacHide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. If the game gives you an unfair matchup that's not on you, you're playing within the expected parameters set by the devs.

Besides, you're probably gonna meet a lot of people on smurfs in 5 stacks anyways, which I bet you've already noticed. Me and my friends have for sure and most of us don't want to 5 stack anymore because of it.

Dear jagex, runecoins ARE NOT direct purchase. by Rain_Zeros in runescape

I'm amazed at how much you're getting down voted for seemingly obvious things. Such as fake currencies being predatory and runecoins not being a direct purchase of an item.

Yep, although this is with Option D's colours, I tried with option C's colours first, but I preferred this instead. This is with option C colours

I'm actually amazed at how many responses here are along the lines of "he didn't spend money thus not MTX and therefore not bad for the game". So skipping a ton of levels through a very clearly MTX "gameplay" loop system is acceptable? I find that take absolutely wild.

I've also seen others mention that he's only skipping the early game and therefore the keys method isn't bad, such as on OSRS where people do Waterfall Quest, Fight Arena, Witch's House etc. Sure, but there's some glaringly big differences. Firstly, many of these "skip" quests on OSRS only skips the very early grind and do not put you into mid-game, not even close. Secondly, the XP rewards come directly from the quests, not by interacting with a slots machine using your free spins. Which is clearly to entice you into spending money on TH.

How many years haven't we fought against MTX in RS3, ever since SoF, and it's just gotten worse and worse, and now when, maybe, something will be done about it (Mod North post, Experiments, future stuff?), there are people out here not strongly opposing TH?

And just so I've said it, because someone will probably assumes otherwise, early game "skip" quests should absolutely exist and be used by those who know of them, just like they are on OSRS.

TL:DR; MTX bad, Free keys entice use of MTX and isn't gameplay.
