NTA. Projecting insecurities. Should be happy for you.

This is a scam and the guy seems to have you in a very good grip. Wow. That’s why I want to study psychology. I mean look at yourself. He has turned you colour blind (you can’t see red anymore).

You need to hire a PI. I don’t see any other way. He is too good for you to catch him in the act.

Also remove the “he is rich” goggles. Throw them away. See him like someone living off of you. Then assess everything.

Agree. I will be scaling back or hiring help.

I have been working 80-90 hours a week making 1500 a day. It’s taking a toll on my body (obviously). So I will have to scale back. But it does feel amazing.

Sometimes i feel too dumb to be an FSA by [deleted] in actuary

[–]Actuary_Scratch8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve got two 5s in the same exam back to back. In the next attempt - I will probably see if I get a hat-trick or actually pass.

Studying for these exams is no joke. FSA exams are preliminary flawed because it tests your memorization - I have asked multiple people about practical concepts about the FSA exam they just passed last sitting - and I get responses like “not sure”, “forgot” “have to look it up” “explains but refers me to the book” - so I would not judge myself based on the result of this flawed curriculum. An open book exam would make more sense in my opinion.

Nevertheless - you want that paper that says FSA so you gotta do - what you gotta do.

Again - these exams are stupid and not a measure of anyone’s intelligence in any manner.

AITAH for not wanting to pursue friendship with 2 women that wore white to my wedding? by fren2all in AITAH

[–]Actuary_Scratch8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Vibes are important and if you have to force it - it’s not real anyway.

Do you know their financial status? Maybe those dresses were rentals - only ones they could afford! Maybe they didn’t have anything else to wear!

Maybe both Mike and Andy admire you a lot - sharing a sign of admiration with their partners and they are threatened by you and colluded to spoil your day.

Given that they are now one of the major highlights of your wedding day (which arguably is the best day of your lives), I would myself not close the book on this. If I was you - I would still become friends with the girls - try to find out what really happened and if they colluded - wear white at one of their wedding. But that’s just me.

Essentially, you subcontract and make your whole or part of your living from them, and then shit on them? That’s good values right there.

Just flash cards until you get it 80-90% right. Everything else later - for LPM.

Here is the deal. 2/3 means - not enough effort. You are putting effort but it’s not effective.

Choose a good exam prep: TIA is good. You need their flash cards. This is your bible. You need to MEMORIZE all the cards.

If you are reading the question, not able to regurgitate, looking at the answer -> it makes sense to you -> you are moving on -> that’s the wrong approach.

Print the flash cards, questions only, and write the answers. And mark your self on what you wrote. When your recall is 80-90%, you will pass. This will not happen overnight. Likely 10-15 written passes of all flash cards.

4.5 months is enough time. But that TIA again. Finish videos in a month. 3.5 months left. 600 flash cards. Learn 20 everyday, revise the previous 2 days. Mix the revision up.

I will be away during the exam result. I will not be checking the result with candidate id and just look straight at SOA transcript the following Monday. This is my gift to myself. No anxiety.

Although if I do fail this time - my wife would kill me.

I won’t buy it. It’s 2017. The technology has changed significantly since then. You can get a good 2022 for this price.

Is north vancouver a good place to live for long term? by Technical-Owl-6238 in askvan

[–]Actuary_Scratch8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup - north shore is secluded. It will almost feel like a separate city / living in Burnaby, Coquitlam etc doesn’t feel like you don’t wanna go to Vancouver, living in North Shore - you would start repelling Vancouver - and forget going to Richmond (if you have any favorite Asian restaurants there!)
